- Aluminum Custom Built Cargo Trailer with simple Camper Conversion. Intended to feel like sitting on a screen porch. Very simple and cheap travel option to escape Michigan winter weather. I’m not a YT video creator so excuse quality errors. Just an old hippie living my dream life.
Cheers Fellow Michigander!! Lapeer here. Thank you for your service, Sir!! I'm converting a 8.5x20 Car Hauler. Kitchen and Bath in the front, Sleeping and chock for Street Cruiser Motorcycle in the back. Wife and I just finish installing 75% of Knotty Cedar ceiling tonight. Hopefully we'll finish it up tomorrow! We have been camping in ours as we build it out. So I can totally relate to your "build as you use it" situation! Our's has been a work in progress, for sure. The CTC community is so awesome!! Every build can be specific to each persons needs!
I have a 5 gallon plastic jerry-can and hose you are welcome to if you're ever up this way! We used it as our Greywater until I installed a tank underneath. There are some great CTC groups on fakebook if you are ever looking for ideas! Nice Trailer!! CHEERS!! Be safe, see ya on the road!
Very nice build
Nice job. Looks like it has everything you need. I like the John and Yoko pictures! We have been working on ours for over 3 years and love it. Enjoy!!
Well done! I certainly enjoyed your video. Lots of good ideas !
Awesome setup, would be perfect for camping 🏕
Umbrella is good idea
My trailer has 12" extra height. I had a 180 awning but couldn't reach it without a ladder. Umbrella works perfect. Takes only seconds to setup.
Watched your video, went to go subscribe... and... I was already subscribed! Haha.
I think you should upload more often. :D
Wish you were here to help this disabled (bone cancer) old woman with just a simple build.
I like the setup. What is the MPG with the Ridgeline and cargo camper? I have a 23 Ridgeline and just curious as to what you are getting.
Stoner ave 😂❤️

I had to like and subscribe just because of your communication style. Why did you get rid of the diesel heater?
We didn’t get rid of it. I just took it out. I almost exclusively use my trailer to escape nasty Michigan winter weather. We go to Alabama or Mississippi a lot between November to May. We stay at COE campgrounds where we plug in and use electric heat. I run a Wave 3 propane heater while driving between campgrounds, but only when it’s below 55 or so. We never use the propane while we’re inside. The diesel heater worked great if I was going to be in below freezing temperatures a lot. But I’d need more experience using it effectively. I’m thinking of ideas what to do with it now. I’m thinking of installing it in a container to sit outside with a hose blowing heat up through the floor.
I have a 6 x 12 cargo. Question: did you screw the etracks into the steel frame or just the particle board sides? I like the simple style, same here.
Factory installed. They're screwed into the frame.
How did you hang the cabinets?
Screwed them to the wall studs.
