Li Mei talking of Argus implies Edenia and Outworld are one in the same. Like they were never different realms that became merged, but are literally the same place.
Perhaps Edenia might be a country or nation within Outworld, like Zattera seems to be.
Kinda wish Sub Zero had an ice pun for a brutality quote, thank you so much for having all these in one vid!

His voice and delivery make the puns sound threatening, I was thinking of more comedic puns like “fan-tastic” from kitana and the way she laughs after
But yeah he does make puns. And he sounds like he wants to kill someone’s while saying them lmao

The only exception to me is “ice to beat you”

It's strange that Liu Kang mentions the Elder Gods. Like, how did they come to be in this timeline? Did Liu Kang create them? Does that mean he's above them? So many questions...
I was expecting the Elder Gods to return, to be honest. They hinted in MK11 that they always die and then come back. (Cetrion sacrificed herself, knowing she'd come back in some form.)
I don't know who outranks who any more. As protector of Earthrealm, Liu Kang seems to have taken Raiden's place as a lesser god. But as Keeper of Time, he seems to have replaced Kronika.
You don't suppose this power struggle might have the potential to be a greater conflict?
@@tabmok99 It's contradictory for sure. Cetrion was Kronika's daughter. Kronika shaped the Realms. Cetrion's an Elder God. It's fairly reasonable, then, to assume that Kronika outranks the Elder Gods, who, in turn, outranked Raiden (Protector of Earthrealm). When Liu Kang replaces Kronika, he effectively becomes one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful being in existence. It should also be noted that this in and of itself sounds extremely far-fetched, because how is a mere creation of Kronika, who himself is outranked by Raiden, capable of defeating and surplanting her?
Yet, here we have him referring to the Elder Gods the same way Raiden did. It doesn't just seem contradictory; it IS contradictory.
They've been messing with the basic foundation of the franchise's lore. They've retconned certain Realms, and what the Realms are, and they couldn't even keep it consistent going from MK11's change of events (concerning Liu Kang's new status and purpose), to this game's reality.
I find these changes to the lore problematic and unnecessary. They could've elaborated on the long established concepts and clarified them without having to change everything, but they opted to discard that established foundation, and concoct a whole new interpretation, just for the sake of it. This just makes it all the more convoluted and confusing, especially when there exist valid ways to actually clarify what the Realms are and how they function.
So Kitana gets a pun but Bi-Han doesn't? Daaang. My hopes and dreams slightly tarnished. Lol. Looking forward to more MK1 content from you Tabmok! Love all your videos! They bring back to '92, the best of times.

May you find out why smoke destroys the entire planet including himself and his realm, shao khan etc. together (fatality; mkIII) ? I am nearly sure that is reference to: "Smoke kills."
I always thought it was in line with MK3's theme of senseless over-the-topness (such as multiple ribcages, skulls, etc.) although it was the one Fatality in MK3 that carried over into later sequels!

This MK is definitely borrowing from Killer Instinct. Sub Zero move is the same as Glacius, Reptile looks like Riptor, Takeda or was it Kenshi looks like Jago and I think there was something else but I forgot.
