- Fight fans have been awaiting Jon Jones' heavyweight debut since 2020 ,when the former UFC light heavyweight champion took a sabbatical from his previous division, to move up a weight class and challenge for the greatest prize in all of MMA: the UFC heavyweight championship. This video shows some of his latest Training footage lifting heavy and preparing for a heavyweight frame.
At heavyweight, 'Bones' will not struggle as many predict he will. Instead, he will likely find a shocking degree of success for these reasons.
Jon Jones' physical stature is a genetic lottery. The MMA great stands at 6 feet 4 inches in height while boasting what remains the longest reach in UFC history with a wingspan of 84.5 inches. Thus, not only will Jones not experience a reach disadvantage against anyone, but he will enjoy a reach advantage over every single opponent he might potentially face in his new weight class.
Jon Jones is nearly impossible to take down and outright impossible to hold down for any considerable amount of time. Even Daniel Cormier, an Olympic-caliber wrestler, struggled to secure takedowns against Jones, while also conceding several takedowns to his rival. Because of his extremely long reach, Jones is able to hook his arms behind his opponent's legs even when they widen their base to defend his takedowns. His arms are simply that long.
Jon Jones has faced nearly every type of fighter there is in MMA. He's crossed paths with high-level wrestlers, brutally powerful punchers, well-rounded generalists, elusive counter-strikers, explosive kickboxers and more. No one has managed to defeat 'Bones'. Whenever fans of Khabib make their case for the Russian's greatness, Jones defenders eagerly point out that Jones has more UFC title fights than khabib has UFC fights. what are your thoughts on jon jones heavyweight debut? do you think he will succeed as a heavy weight

He’s not just moving up in weught he’s effectively changing his body type. I bet we see the fight around Nov 2023
maybe, but he never would face a hw, he will duck forever
Well the comment didn’t age well he will fight in ufc 285 soon
He's not extending on tricep pushdowns and he's starting them with his traps, chest and shoulders. His one-hand dumbbell rows are no more than half reps and he cheats like hell to get them moving.
Damnnn he is hugeeeeeeee
Bones looks massive but not so confident like in 205 pounds before 😅
He’s getting prepared for this debut for a while now. I’m excited to see how he will evolve as a heavyweight contender
@@TheMindfulMotivation hell yeah he’s evolving is crazy I hope really for him he becomes the honor for his hard work n patience
jones never would have the balls to face any hw
I HAVE FOUND A ROBOT THAT PISSED OIL AN TALKING ABOUT SPORTS
He can put as much muscle as he wants,he cant fix those toothpick calves. One kick from an heavyweight on those and its over.
Jones is a very smart fighter he may not be blessed good clad genetics but his in will make him prevail
The QUESTION is... is he taking STEROIDS again...??

@@Masia315 looked at that link. 1.its a CZcams video so there's that. 2. Although the guy presenting the vid is knowledgeable and legit after looking into him, "leaked drug tests" is not legit and after researching them they smear nearly everyone doping or clean.
3. jones is archived several times with USADA as a failure and a cheat. Whereas dc has a clean record.
Look deeper than CZcams. Jones is trash.
@@saxonmanwaring7723 dude it’s not leaked It’s literally on usasa site also Jones will always be better than DC
