Well I still have the go big plan with hbo and showtime for 60 bucks so it’s still worth it for me otherwise I agree I wouldn’t pay for the new plans. Somehow I got away with two free premium networks
Where I live we can only get AT&T services. If I can I would've got rid of AT&T a long time ago.
You can get any provider when it comes to internet tv. Maybe not internet but I don’t see why you can’t get any streaming service regardless where you live.
@@PlMPinDlSTRESS licensing is the main reason. The provider needs to pay to distribute the channels. It gets specifically hairy when trying to provide local channels and local sports.
Dennis Pietrandrea that doesn’t mean you only get one provider. That just means you want local channels so you choose that one service. I don’t know where you live but most if not all of the USA you can get free local channels without a internet/cable provider.
I was in the electronic business for close to 25yrs. The Streaming just got started as I got out. I have been wanting to cut the cord for some time now but didn't know which direction to go. I have watched a LOT of videos on which way. But let me tell u this. This is by far the best and most informative video I have seen yet.

I was a LONG time fan and subscriber of DirecTV for 20+ years. Their service kept going down and down and their prices kept going up and up. I did a three month trial of CZcams TV, Hulu with Live TV and DirecTV Now and I went with Hulu with Live TV and absolutely love it. I chose Hulu because I was already a subscriber of their commercial free Hulu service so we watch all our network shows commercial free, albeit one day later. I added on the Hulu Live TV option because that adds most all of my TV into one app and interface. It just makes it easier and we simply love it. We also have Prime Video, Netflix and CBS All Access, but are most likely going to cancel Netflix because we just don't seem to watch it as much. For us, Hulu with Live TV was definitely the way to go. Thanks for such a great video and impartial review of all the major services!

I have tried all the streaming service. CZcams TV is by far is the best fit for me. Great regional news options. Easy UI for not so techy people to navigate their way around. Great HD content.

We cut the cord in early 2017. Since then, we have subscribed to PS Vue, ATT TV Now (DirecTV Now), Hulu live and CZcams TV. Of the four services, CZcams TV has been the top performer with Hulu live a close second. Virtually no buffering or freezing on YTTV that we saw with the other three services plus the UI is the absolute best. YTTV just added PBS so we are very satisfied with this service.
I actually switched from Sling to Fubo TV. It has more channels I like and 3 local channels that I could not get with Sling. You were wrong saying Fubo includes 30 hours of DVR service. They have 100 hours! I also really like Pluto TV and Tubi as free apps.
Fubo TV is the best by far not even close, and best priced.

As a recent Roku owner and a neophyte to cable cutting, this timely youtube vid was just what I needed. I started with Sling 2 weeks ago and have decided on CZcams TV for the very reasons outlined here. It's reassuring when venturing in a foreign land that I didn't stray to far. I have such a visceral reaction at the mention of Comcast so finally tomorrow I can wish them well and though I won't be completely free from them at least I won't be spending $200/mo.

For me a college sports fan CZcams TV - All ESPN plus ACC Network , SEC Network , Big Ten Network , National Fox and local Fox Sports , CBS Sports and NBC sports. Plus local TV ! Better than cable at half the cost !

When I looked at everything, I thought the best option was CZcams tv because of the unlimited cloud dvr at no extra charge.
If you don’t need that, there are better options.

I use the AirTV with sling and it’s perfect. It seamlessly integrates live tv with sling and it has all the channels I like so I’m happy

It has every channel + , no monthly fees. You should look into that if your not sure what direction you’re headed.

thats a great product but way too expensive. i went to rcn last year from them and got double the channels in a triple package at a lesser price. may still cut RCN eventually, but they are only in certain areas, they are known for their internet awards.
What gadget to you recommend for providing internet tv to your television? Ruku, fire stick or chromecast or what? I have a firetv but amazon tells me it is outdated. Is it?
I will never pay for broadcast tv again. CZcams tv is awesome. No hidden fees. Unlimited dvr is awesome. Matt forgot to mention that Hulu is raising live tv to 54.99/per month which makes CZcams tv a great deal for 49.99

You forgot to mention that Hulu probably has one of the largest on demand libraries, especially for some niche content. If one isn't interested in that or the Disney bundle, then I can see how youtube tv is a good option over many of the others.
I love the break down of the different options. Thanks for the info. I got rid of cable 6 years ago and I don't miss it. We do have Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. Netflix for $14 (Up to 5 streams a the same time), Hulu for $11 (I'm not a fan of Hulu but my wife likes it) and Amazon for $12 (I have Amazon for different reasons but the video aspect is a plus). That equals $36 a month, not bad. I forgot to mention, I have an antenna tower with about 30+ channels of high def OTA tv

Channels DVR is an amazing underrated service. You can use it with Apple and Android boxes and firestick or on phones.

I’ve been with CZcams TV for a while and I love it. It’s missing NFL Network, but it’s got everything else I could want. Unlimited DVR, and local channels. I’ve tried a digital antenna, and I can only pick up one or two local networks on a good day.
Does it have surround sound?
Nothing is worth watching live any more. Everything is free on the internet if you look hard enough though.
Any recommendation?

👏🏼 Thank you. I cut the cord last October (almost a year now) and started with Philo but upgraded to FuboTv for a couple local channels and some sports channels as well. Just saw your video on streaming devices, too. I settled on ROKU Ultra then a TCL Roku TV with an antenna and a Tablo box. I also have a Roku Stick for my little kitchen tv. Wish I'd found you earlier. I asked tons of questions (online) and/but got it done. Not technically savvy. Not at all. 😬

Pluto has like 5 "live" channels. The rest are like a youtube playlist.
The day you posted this video the price of Hulu with Live TV went up $10 to $54.99. If CZcams TV had History Channel it would be HUGE. FuboTV FTW.

I tried Sling and really liked it but the only draw back was all the programs played in eastern time zone even on the west coast. Do you know if this problem was fixed?

For me, the perfect combo is CZcams TV plus Philo. The channels lacking on CZcams TV are on Philo. I don’t think Philo should really ever be considered as a stand alone package for most people but it is a fantastic buy for $20. I also have commercial free Hulu with HBO added, Netflix, Amazon Prime, CBS All Access, Apple TV, Pluto TV, Curiosity Stream, Epix, Sundance Now, and a bit of Crackle. Am I saving money - not really but I have predictable quality programming that is mostly high resolution in an easy to use format (Roku). I am also surprised at how little internet speed you need to make this work. I have 40 Mbs DSL service that in reality is about 17 Mbs. Buy a few Roku Ultra’s, install a high speed SD card in each, good to go. Give the local cable company the finger and enjoy TV again.

@@TheBinoyVudi For basic live TV, get pluto tv. Its an app for your phone or a channel on a roku (costs around 30-50 bucks for a streaming player and thats it). PlutoTV is free but it has ads.

Love CZcams TV as well, but have run into an issue over the last week or two. For whatever reason, the update they did a few months ago adding autoplay and a cosmetic change to the Guide never happened on my Roku TV (TCL) or my LG TV until about a week or two ago. Anyways, there is no option to turn off the Autoplay feature on either device. I also tried it on my Xbox One X, so the fact that it is happening on every device means it's not just an isolated issue with a particular device. It leads me to believe they are forcing the Autoplay feature onto people now. Am I correct on this? This is a dealbreaker for me, as I left other services after their trial period because of this. Would love to keep CZcams TV if I can though.

Just watch some videos on CZcams about how to watch for free on Firestick. In reality you should never again pay for TV again.

All this sounds great and the prices are reasonable, however I don’t see anyone mentioning the fact that you still have to pay for internet access. At these prices , with all that streaming , one has to factor in that as well. When I compare all this to cable , which includes 100 mbps internet and 220 channels on a basic package, it isn’t worth the switch.
Amazon fire tv stick 4K is the best service no more direct tv . Happy holidays
PLUTO TV (and a similar related free service STIRR) both have buffering issues when I watch on AppleTV. The picture will freeze or go away sometimes. They're a great idea so I hope they can get rid of the bugs.

I love Locast TV! It’s not yet available in all markets but they keep expanding all the time. I pay $5.50 a month for my local broadcast channels and a bunch more, excellent service. Add Sling TV to it and I think most people would be happy. 🍕🍷😎

I wish Playstation Vue wasn't going to discontinue their service in January 2020. AT&t tv NOW just went up to $65 for me and I discontinued it. I started at $35. I wish there was an antenna for those of us who have tons of trees in our neighborhood.

You will love Pluto. It is not a replacement for live cable. But you are sure to find something you like. A lot of variety. And it is free! No risk to try it.

There really is no best since no one has the complete package, someone is always missing something but for us CZcams TV comes closest between cost, channels, locals, sports, DVR (ohh that DVR is the best) User interface .

I’m a grandfather Directv Now and considering switching to CZcams TV in your opinion even with the deal that I have on Directv Now (AT&T TV) am I better off switching?
Switched from sling to hulu so I wouldn't have to use a antenna to get local channels so now im down to just my power wire hanging down from the wall looks nice and clean now. The only channels I miss from sling is nba tv and nfl network but I still get plenty of sports with hulu

Coming from Playstation vue which I loved, I highly recommend Fubotv!! If you want a close comparison to cable this is a great option. CZcams tv is OK but lacks a lot of channels that fubotv offers. It doesn't have abc ESPN or HBO but offers most of Playstation vue channels and more stations Playstation didn't offer. Pricey but I highly recommend.
Have VUE and love it, especially on Apple TV watching 4 channels at once using Multi-View is awesome. Hadn't considered FuboTV, I was between going back to Sling or CZcamsTV...I'll check out Fubo.

Hey Matt how about Locast? Sure it's limited according to your local market but I get ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX plus 32 other free streaming channels. Additionally, I get the Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN bundle for $12.95/mo.
I'm going to research CZcams tv more, I have Hulu with live tv. I like to have my local channels. I'm paying $49.99 for Hulu with live now, it was $44.99 but recently increased to $49.99. It also doesn't have OWN, which there are shows I've missed since cutting the cord, but I was tired of paying $200 plus a month for cable when I'm out the house for at least 10 hours a day. Just having wifi is expensive too, overpriced in my opinion.
Dish has own,and it's only about $65 a month and that's not the least channels you can get. I think you get about 50+ channels for that price. The only thing is you don't get much sports.

I have not heard any discussion of you tube tv + philo combined. Plus I've always had cable, my current x-1 dvr can tape 6 shows at once, how does that work with streaming apps? Can you tape multiple show at the same time?
