  • I'm not a game dev, I've never used a game engine before, but there's a first time for everything. I've been having a blast using Godot, so let's see what we can do with it. This time, I make a new enemy, as well as talk about the purpose that this game is trying to achieve. Join me as I continue my journey trying to learn how to make a game.

    Wow! We must have started our game dev journeys around the same time. You've made so much progress in so little time! How in the world do you make such polished videos while learning and making games?!?

      Thank you!! That's awesome about our game dev journeys, sounds like we're at about the same level! I love video editing as much as I love learning game dev, so this has been a win-win for me haha I appreciate that 🙏🙏

    This was great 🙏 I like the Sonic throwback telling a more personal story. Let’s see what the next game looks like 👀

      Thanks, man! Playing Sonic Adventure again to record that segment after not playing it for years was really awesome. I enjoyed recording that almost too much 😂

    This is quite inspiring actually. You have come a long way learning and applying your knowledge.
    The unorganised files are satisfactory as they'll be organised as you keep learning.
    How about this idea, if the player choose higher difficulty, the enemies should get random buffs like double health, longer bluey, amount of bullet shooting enemies get faster. Maybe 1 in 30 enemies get buff. Buffs can be more frequent in higher waves or higher difficulties.

      That's a really cool idea to add some variety in the enemies. I think Minecraft does something similar to that. Thanks for the idea, it's great to keep these things in mind for future projects as well 🙏

      @@GreenLightDev ohh... Minecraft does it. Thought I was being original but, it still adds variety so atleast I helped a bit.😁

      @@GreenLightDev that's true, most original works are too inspired by something that pre exists🧐

      None yet! I've just been doing this for fun, so I think that plays a big role

    Why not use an enum for the difficulty setting?

      @GreenLightDev  Před 24 dny +1

      I definitely learned more about enums only after I coded that section 😂
