    G'day viewers!
We were lucky enough to have a friend drop off an old rusty wood heater this week. I spent some time fixing it up, getting rid of the rust, making a new handle and re-blacking the finish of the cast iron. I think the end result was pretty good! It should make a great addition to our heating as we move closer to winter.

This fire pit is one of a few covered pits that is on the list czcams.com/users/postUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM of approved products for Disney Fort Wilderness. The product served its purpose well and provided excellent fires throughout the evening. We were able to open the door and do s'mores, but I had to be careful because the handle was a bit hot on occasions. Additionally, I wish they had replaced some of the standard nuts with lock nuts in some places. We lost the door handle after just a couple of days of usage. Not a deal breaker, just a recommendation. I still give it 5 stars.

I get free wood stoves it seems every year. I restore them and use one in my house, garage, and work shop. The other stoves I run across I fix up and sell. It's very satisfying to see a stove after restoration.👍👍

Hi country Pepper. Can you answer a question? I want to install a wood stove on the basement of a 2 story building which has a brick chimney. Do you think this will be save to do. I have tenants on 1st and 2nd floor living. Thank you in advanced.

I've been a tomboy my whole life and my daddy was a ww2 medic, 40+yr career Army man. He left me his wood sharpening (small) business, tools and old wood stove. It was left on the back patio and I needed to restore it and had no idea how to do it. This looks so simple and easy. Thanks for the video. I will attempt it when I can!! Super cool!🪵🪚

That was an awesome job!. I just did a partial refinish on my parents cast iron stove they bought about 12 years ago and never used. It had surface rust all over it so I scrubbed it all down and used coconut oil and did a heat up on it to season it and it turned out pretty good.

Nice work- good to see something that has life left in it restored and put back to use. I wish we had these small, blocky wood stoves with glass for a fire view more available in the US. They are popular in Europe, but here in the US large wood stoves are favored and most of the smaller ones are a niche market, meaning they tend to be hard to find and expensive.

A great save. My grandmother used kerosene and newspaper to clean the glass of stoves. I know its tough when you have facial hair, however, even a bandanna tied around your mouth and noise while doing dusty work would greatly improve your chances of becoming an OAP.
