Almost, Always..My Love, My Love..Why Don't You Believe Me and many more beautiful songs of Joni James
May the good Lord bless and keep you Joni James. You gave so much joy to millions of people and thanks to CZcams you’re gaining new fans by the day!
My favorite album of all time. Played it over and over. She spoke like she sang.
Happy I met here in person.
She also had a pink airplane flew across the ocean to perform.
Sadly 😥 missed now sings for God and the angels.
I will always love Joni James singing from the depths of her heart. While i love most of her numbers, my top faves will always remain "There must be a way", originally sung by actor-singer, Johnny Johnston in the 40's. He sounded too much like Bing Crosby, so the novelty of the song was lost. It wasn't until the late 50's that Joni brought real life to this song and resurrected it to unparalleled heights. Another top fave is "Why don't you believe me". This song was originally sung by Dinah Shore in the 40's film "Till the clouds roll by". While Ms. Shore's version was good, Joni gave it more depth and feeling with emphasis on certain words and lines.
I love Joni James, since a young girl.
The voice of an angel. Listen and you will understand
Thank you. For sharing ❤ 😀 😊 💕 🙂
I always said If we could hear an angel from heaven sing that it would sound like this. Great minds think alike.
i really missed her very talented and great voice
One of my Mom's favorites along with Roberta Sherwood.
My favorite album from my father's collection was this Joni James album, I was 11 at the time, and listened to it over and over again. When my sister was born in 1960, I had the privilege of naming her...and her name became "Joni"....after a beautiful singer. Thank you Joni for all the memories.
Dear barbara, thank you very much for such a beautiful mamorable comment.
@@marianocustodio449 Oh, my pleasure! She (Joni) sang like an angel and still brings a tear to my eye....btw, my baby sister is now 61!!! :-) Have a great day...
@@barbaramcintosh8581 say hi to your sister "Joni". I love the music of Joni James too! Have a good life as you enjoy the songs of Joni!
JONI JAMES is my #1 favorite vocalist followed by CONNIE FRANCIS and PATTI PAGE
My uncle Ernesto Olaes bought this album from Hagatna Guam in 1960. I love ❤️ all Joni’s songs in this album.
This entire performance is a 'TRUE GEM'.
When you hear music specially sung at a prestigious place like Carnegie Hall the music becomes alive. The arrangement of the music here is very good. Before the concert begins it's overture is very good to hear. With audience participation like that giving all the applauses what more can you ask for. Truly the song artist will be mesmerized by the concert goers adulation and acceptance.
Beautiful comment love Joni and this overture. Truly the very best ever. Loved her since I was 10 yrs old. Pure class what a voice.
Yes, you're wonderful to
Know the beautiful artist
With whom I have loved
Since freshman in
High School. 1953.
My favorite singer, not
Discounting the other wonderful ladies singing.
Thank you soo much
Joni, and those sharing
This Album.
Know she is singing in
Heaven.!!!🤩❤😘💥💚💙
Love to hear Joni... she has that sweet innocent voice, speaking and singing.
She has that musical voice. "When I Grow Too Old To Dream" has a minimal background
accompaniment and you can enjoy the music her voice and delivery provide. Amazing!
We love her in the Philippines, then and now. She has a voice of youth and innocence which is unequalled till now.
Thank you
ありがとう与一郎さん!すごく素敵なコンセート。ちょっと前ジョニさんのことを発見して、頼んしんでます。Better late than never..!
Nicely recorded. I wasn't really that aware of joni james until today. I'm a senior baby boomer who grew up with great jazz into rock into r&b. Through jazz I was aware of the greats like Billie holiday, Ella, Sarah, and lesser known like Helen Merrill, Beverly Kenney, Ann Phillips, etc. This album has that wonderful 50's, 60's sound. Joni had a beautiful voice. Thank you for introducing her. Nicely done!!!

A very underrated singer. Joni never had the the very big "breakthrough" hit that would have made her a household name. But we appreciate her talent.
Yes so underrated but so talented and LOVED...We miss her music so much! Thank you for providing this treasure to us

UTUBE JUST IN TIME BY JOHN BAVAS
What year is this...???
Dinah Washington said it best around 1959-60 in either Look or Life magazine: "Worst singer that ever recorded. When my voice is at its worse it is ten times better than hers." I agree. James had a major record company, MGM behind her and a genius arranger, Lew Douglas that gave her over the top arrangements with what sounded like 100 musicians that covered up her little talent. It is called, luck folks, like winning the Lottery at a perfect time in life and in this case getting apparent lasting recognition.
Nice album but gees. But No one should start singing 9 minutes into their album
Vithu Kichodhan
It is honoured to let me hear her singing at the Carnegie Hall,
