- The 22nd of July 2023 marked the 60th year since Sarawak's Independence. Sarawak is a unique state within the federation of Malaysia. On this day we celebrated this unique occasion in Kuching with a big parade and a large concert on Padang Merdeka.

This is a visa for foreigners to retire in Malaysia. To get the latest information, I suggest you contact ARAMAZ agency. They will provide you with the information, without any fees. You can then decide to use their services, or not.

Please do not do this as Malaysian authority can take action on you for provoking sensitivity and threatening national security. This is misleading as it is not Sarawak Independence but Day of the formation of Malaysia. It is Malaysia Day and not Sarawak Day.
I think you should check your facts. 22 July is the day Sarawak gained independence from the British (1963). The 16th of September is Malaysia Day, the day the federation was established.

It's Sarawak Day, Sarawak Independence Day. Malaysia Day is the formation of Malaysia. It falls on a different day.

not being rude Nik.. I think you got your info about Sarawak autonomous status within Malaysia is wrong.. Sarawak was one of the state that made up the federal state of Malaya.. the British left Malaya in 1957.. and it became modern day Malaysia.. Sarawak state as it is today with it autonomous status with in the Malaysian federation started in 1963.. Sarawak day has nothing to do with the British since 1957..
There's a bit more to it, but I shall not dive into politics. This video is about a fun celebration day in Sarawak. It was an amazing day!
Azhar, are you on crack? August 31st 1957 is only the Independence of Malaya. Sarawak was still under British control until July 22nd 1963 when we got our independence. And we FORMED Malaysia along with Singapore, North Borneo and Malaya and that’s why we have our own rights guaranteed in the MA63 Agreement. Sarawak became a state is only because of those greedy politicians whom downgrade us into a state back in 1976 until 2021 when our status was reverted to its original position via a constitutional amendment.
