- SCP-5002 is a Neutralized anomaly also known as A Death in Containment.
SCP 5002 is a true SCP Foundation murder mystery. When this reality warping anomaly was found dead in her cell with no apparent clues as to who or what may have killed her, it fell on SCP Agent Ellen O'Connor from the Department of Analytics to try and unravel the many threads that led to the death of SCP5002.

I like how they turned a murder case into something as serious as the possibility of being a reality warping SCP.
Thats why the wiki has some of the best writters on the internet. They take a troupe, and twist it. Or, they can take an obscure fear, and expand on it. Two good examples of both, are Just Another Murder Monster for twisting the troupe, and The Truth for expanding on uncommon fears, this one being fear of what lies beyond.

Based on people's awareness she can't control their minds, only their physical actions. Now, that ending gives the potential option that she managed to write a brand new story into these people's lives, but that still wouldn't be assault. Not in this case at any rate. Morally questionable on the SCP's part? Sure. Assault? Definitely not, there was no blackmail nor any feeling as if they were being physically controlled into doing it. In doing so, she may have prevented a major containment breach. She even identified possible useful post-mortem areas of further studies of SCP5002's case which could greatly improve the reliability of containment on reality warping and mind-influencing anomalies in the future.

@@SeedlingNL what I mean by that sorry I should have elaborated a little bit more but I mean that not all killers think that way and studies have shown Killers thinking many different ways
Agent O'Conner literally played dangaronpa irl, she did the "find the clues of the murder" part, she did the "trial" part, she also did the "oh, everyone is lying about something" part, and then the "random plot points that doesn't help with anything" part (for example, love between the doctor and scp 5002), and then there is the "let me prove it by piecing together what had happened using bullcrap logics" part, and then the "oh, no way! how did you find out! noooooo!" part, and then the culprit dying part
And the "I found out the dark secret of one suspect, despite the fact that there was no evidence for that nor was there any importance for it, because it's not important to the story" part
This is a Sherlock Holmes case. Put him and Watson on a zoom call with the suspects and he’ll figure it out before the people can mute themselves!
lol
Elementary!
Lol Sherlock probably wouldn't even leave the flat for this case 🤣
Quote from the actual 5002 file:
"Really. You Sherlock Holmes or something?"
O'Connor: "Actually, Foundation investigations are rather more difficult. Sherlock Holmes, unlike me, could afford to eliminate the impossible."
Call Amelia Watson.
Why didn't they ask her to type "foundation succesfully terminated scp 682"
scp 682 was once thrown in a well, when anything was thrown into this specific anomolous well it seized to exist. SCP 682 was gone from existance for a whole of 2 hours before he SOMEHOW reappeared. In another instance there is an SCP which is a book, any title given to the book dictates the story and once opened the entities within the room where the book scp is contained are transported INSIDE the book and the entire story takes place. The Foundation wrote a title on the book "A friendly entity to the SCP foundation definitely kills 682" and then put 682 in the same room as the book. By the end of the experiment the title of the book changed to "A friendly entity to the scp foundaiton who ALMOST killed 682" 682 literally changed the plot of the book, he has ACTUAL plot armor.

Really like the unique style and more grounded mystery of this one.
I like how they made the ending the stereotypical ending of a detective novel or movie, where the detective gets all the suspects into the same room and tells them who did it and how, and that everybody had a secret except for the D-Class.

I can definitely see where the doubts came from, this case sounds so much like a murder mystery novel, complete with assembling all the suspects in the same room and the convoluted, unrealistic way the actual murder happened
Someone asked me why I like watching a channel with such ugly, simple, animation. Cliff notes of my answer. It's their own artistic style, and I dig it. I like to think she wrote herself out of the situation. She wrote the existence of reality anchors as a fact, but has them being prone to be worked around by reality benders. The rest would be one giant escape plan with a fake body left in its wake.

Couldn't they have made her write down things like:
"SCP-682 stabs itself to death"
"SCP-096 dies"
and
"The Global Occult Coalition dies"
and after she was done, they could make her write
"My powers go away"
???
no she only imbues desire not ability she cant give someone the power to do something only the desire to do that thing, 682 would adapt and even if he didn't he cant kill himself, 096 might work but 096 when it sees its own reflection tries to kill itself but cant, the foundation isn't enemies of the GOC but if they were 5002 wouldn't be able to do something of that scale and the GOC would reform but be named the planetary occult organization or something

I'm taking a guess in the first two minutes: the SCP wrote a new story while in containment and became the victim of her own novel.
I like this one. Short of the 'big reveals' that can't be known by the audience as we watch, like the name of the Director being different than the SCP organization has marked, it was a story that could be followed and enjoyed.
The ending is nice because it has a discrepancy that follows its own in-universe rules: because commands can be given through the same story if there are redactions, it makes sense that the security guy could have been puppetted into killing the SCP and that his being drunk would have covered his feelings of being controlled - even if the text never had such an event. Nice.

Considering how much of a classic who-done-it this is, I suspect that this may have been a ploy by 5002 and Dr.Yau to get her out, and I also suspect that Simpson was in on it. How hard would it have been for the serpent's hand to swap out 5002 with a clone? The three likely conspired and plotted over the course of several weeks, getting their plan up and running. It wouldn't be hard for 5002 to write up a story involving the death of her clone.

5002 could just write the reality anchors to not work and then write her to become an omni everything god, yet she got killed, bruh.
No, her skill isn't like that. She writes a story and people are forced to follow it.. IF they are capable of doing so. But the reality anchor in her cell prevents that. Now, if she was Leech Boy... sure... but this skill is mostly harmless compared to the usual SCP shenigans.
@@SeedlingNL I mean there IS the line where she asks "what if the D class was restrained when I wrote this" and that really makes you ask does she edit reality or control it's flow cause those 2 things are drastically different. Editing reality implies her writing change reality such that no matter the present conditions they WILL occur, Controlling reality implies that her writings control the available entities within reality to make her writings occur but is limited by the capability of the effected entities within reality as per her writing.
Damn, I really enjoyed this one
In a situation like this, it could be any Keter, Euclid, Nuetralized, or Safe class Anomaly that killed her. Even if the facility had just neutral and safe in it, there are always unknown properties to account for and the unusual mix of different SCPs abilities when they get into a certain range of eachother. She could have even written a book that would kill herself and read it. Theres too many factors to just assume one of the facilities own personal did it.
The foundation could've make her write stories about them killing the Scarlet King, the Devourer etc. easily with zero casualty... Then make her read it. Problem solved
the scarlet king and devourer both live in separate dimensions then us, SCP 5002's effects work in our universe but that doesn't necessarily mean it also works in their universe, Further more on the scarlet king it is said that the scarlet king has killed and subjugated gods who were also likely capable of controlling reality so such a low tier reality warper as scp 5002 probably couldn't effect the scarlet king at all.
