Great video! Thanks for introducing the basics of what you need to know to create a website for the first time from scratch using Elementor. So many tutorials show how to create a site using already created blocks, sections and pages, but this goes over how to use the actual editor in Elementor, how to edit sections vs editing actual elements, how to use and get to the block section, etc. Some of these things maybe seem really simple once you've used Elementor for a while, but it's really useful for someone just starting to learn the platform.
Great video. But you have not understood the concept of "SITE SETTINGS" in Elementor. You should not go to "Site settings" each time you want to change the font size of een element in a header, footer or any page block. Because that way you change the global settings of ALL ELEMENTS of that type instead of the settings for that specific element. Just select the element you want to change and then choose STYLE --> TYPOGRAFY --> PENCIL --> SIZE. The typografy in Site Settings is only used to set the GLOBAL (side wide) typografy. You should do that once at the beginning of your project to define the global characteristics of your typografy. And then never touch it again.
Great Video and a huge help to me. I liked that you moved right along without dragging like a snail and boring yet not so fast that I couldn't keep up. This was so useful for someone just learning the basics and then they can move on to the deeper elements of Elementor. Yet it allowed me enough information that I could get started and wasn't left needing to learn a lot more. I was really impressed. Thank you so much.
Hi! Could you please make a short video about creating buttons with Elementor Pro, that are fully customizable, and include moving images and non-moving graphics? Thank you!
Thank you, David, this video helped me a lot. I personally facing an issue with the header and footer. Although I made the templates, it is not visible and I tried a lot to make them visible. If already have a video on the issue, kindly add the link here. Once again, thank you for your videos, they are really helpful.
Thanks David! Your videos are very useful for us mere mortals, without too many pretensions. Anyway I wanted to tell you that David Utke sounds good: you could make a Brand out of him. 😉
You need to click the desktop icon, which is on the same row as the publish or update button and then click the mobile icon which should appear at the top of the website. Once done, go back to the site title settings and click remove site title. Hopefully this works.
Thank you for this great step by step on how to navigate and use this theme. I’m pretty happy with the options so far with this theme and yet it is a fast loading and free theme too!
Really nice tutorial. You have a great sense of humor and you are an exceptional trainer. Your honesty about the products is so refreshing. I am new to Elementor but using Wpress for years. Your video was the best... I have tried so many, but difficult finishing because they are too long, boring or annoying.. I finished your video because you an awesome trainer. Thanks... btw.. I am a new subscriber too... :)
According to the timestamps this isn't regarding archives, error and search pages. Any suggestion to replace the elementor theme builder that isn't available in the free version to create those?
Excellent video! Great tips for editing pages using WordPress even if people don't wind up using the Hello theme. I've been using WordPress for almost two years and I learned some new things, so thank you!
Themes for security reasons. If there ever is a bug or some issue you don't want it on your site. Plugins because they slow down your website. You want to keep things as lean as possible.
What is missing is how to have the header transparent, i.e. have the background image (of the first section, in our case) display under the header... like in the example you show. Maybe it is very easy, until now I haven't figured it out.
Great video. Thank you David! I have a question about the section "add a hero image": I have inserted a banner picture and I have activated the triangle style with the shape divider function. Now there is a strange mirror effect on the picture and the picture is displayed repeated times. How can I display only one banner picture without the mirror effect?
Hey David, this was the only useful video I have seen so far about elementor (free). I am a blogger and elementor has caused me so much anxiety in the last 5 months that I am literally not writing anything to avoid all that editing. Even then the blog page looks aweful. I was hoping that your video will show how to have a blog archive page and a good blog page. But it's now clear that Elementor wants users to pay for that. As a designer and techie, what do you suggest - should a blogger stay on elementor pro or opt for something else out there?
Elementor was created to help average users design websites when WordPress was a basic text editor. Now Elementor is more a tool for agencies and designers than an average user. So if you're willing to learn it, then Elementor is great. I personally don't use Elementor on any of my websites though. I don't like the whole framework on top of a framework. I have a certain way I liked to design for speed and mobile first instead of making some big complicated design.
Hi,I'm seeing your video for the first time, cristal clear tutorial, subscribed! How can I create my main menu below my logo using header and footer plugin? Hope you will reply.🤪👍
Hi, great job. I wonder if Envato is better than Elementor, regarding headers and footers. I have Elementor PRO and is 2021 ( many changes in Elementor every day)
Please, guide me. I want to create an affiliate marketing website in which I want to write review articles and buyer's guide blogs. Which theme would be the most suitable with Elementor Pro? I want a sidebar as well.
I more care about the layout than any specific theme. If you look at davidutke.com, I like an offer section at the top, and an offer at the bottom of every post. I also like single column designs, no sidebar. What themes are you looking at?
Navigation bar for the header is no longer in the free version. You have to pay for the pro version to get access to it. That sort of messes up this video.
@@DavidUtke Yes, I was following your awesome video until I got to the part about using the navigation to drag into the header and now I see they have a lock on it unless you pay for the Pro. So at the time of your video, it was free. Now they charge for it after an update. Your video is awesome. I love how you go step by step and show the results of things back and forth along with your reasons for doing things. I wish all people would do what you do. Thanks for posting this stuff. I hope CZcams is paying you a lot of ad revenue from the ads on here. Your quality is worth it.
hi i need help if u can please guide me as im new i dnt know anything, i hav website which is designed with elementor, now i have purchased theme from studiopro and i want to use that when i upload theme and activate, it doesnt change anything what should i do
Hey, is it possible if I want to put hero section on my post page (stating something about all my post in general with heading and text editor)? I try to make it couple of days ago. At first I can edit it with Elementor but as soon as I set it as my post page then the hero section that I've made before disappeared. The option to edit the page with Element or also gone. Btw, I am using Hello theme. I also want to disable the title on my post page that written as Archive. Do you know how can I do that?
For a total beginner this was such a helpful video but damn I really wish you had explained at the beginning instead of the very freakin 2 hour end that you can't design blog pages... I understand you want viewers to get to the end but if I had to design any other kind of website I would have still watched. But for bloggers just starting out this sucks. Not even sure what to do or what theme to go with now. Are there any free ones that aren't crappy about blog pages? Not worth paying for just starting out.
I use a custom design for my own site. For a good theme that you can adjust and get support that’s always a premium theme. I guess I’ll have to make a new video on some good free themes.
Even more salt in the wounds is that any "premium widgets for Elementor for free" plugin don't give you the one thing that is the "post title widget" which you really need if you are running a blog. None of them. I tried them all out. Elementor is really strongarming you to Pro plan if you want to run a blog. They'll give you all the blog grids, carousels, etc. but not this one crucial thing.
Very talentedly put-together video. However, you are guiding us to put plugs in that actually spoil the website. Plus you are not being transparent. Naughty you
Thanks for watching everyone and have a great week.

With the free version? I don't think so. With a paid license sure. Elementor is functionally a framework onto of a framework.
