      @@Radio1399 So far, I'm very happy with it. I'm not a big guy (175lb) and don't need anything more than the 190lb stack which I also ordered. For the price, it's tough to beat - very solid and very smooth operation. Putting it together took awhile and the instructions aren't great but they are accurate.

    Thanks for the video and the end result is great to hear. I agree, having the cover on makes it more difficult to adjust the pin, but I like the machine better with the cover. Also, I have the Cable Tower Option that attaches to the Rack, 1/2 Rack and / or Smith Machine. The top bar connects to an additional structure, so there isn’t an issue with the top bar settling / dipping down slightly. Appreciate the 1+ year update!

    Good vid,looking at the machine I'd suggest getting someone to weld in square tubing the same dimension as the rest of it,into the space running from top to bottom between the top of leg support and bottom of top bar that flexes when you use it..other than that it looks like a great piece.

    I've recently purchased this had the older model befor without the stack, now I have the stack... Tried it out with full stack and straight away movement, then saw your videos on it... But fingers crossed I've sorted the movement problem whilst going heavy on the stack... The 4 bolts at the back high up, remove the two back ones left and right and washer, I've shaped a piece of flat 40mm by 5 mm plate into a u shape and fixed to the wall and then two holes for the bolts to go back in minus the washer, problem fixed because now it taken the flex high up away from when you go heavy, if I could attach a photo I would..

  • @andrew5354
    @andrew5354 Před rokem +2

    I have this same machine and modified it for better stability so that the top bar would stay level/parallel to the floor. Essentially, I extended the metal upright that the knee pad is on, vertically all the way to the top horizontal bar that houses the lat pulldown. I wish I could attach a photo cause I made it look almost like it was done from the manufacturer. I cost me about $100 in material and a couple tools I didn't have. I wish they made it like this from the factory and just charged a $100 more.
    If that upright that the knee is on goes all the way up to act as a support for the top of the machine, it doesn't affect any of the functionality of the machine (you can still do any type of pull and change the weights just as easy). But it makes it much sturdier.

    Hey, thanks for the vid! Right now I'm debating between this and the Body Solid GLM83.
    It would only be used by me in my basement gym. I train 2 to 4 times per week. Not a very strong guy so I would likely never push it to its limits.
    What do you recommend? FYI, the reason it's down to these 2 options is because the ceiling height is 83.5 inches.

      I recently tried doing belt squats and they are surprisingly effective on the quads. Using lighter weights and more reps are preferred because of having to start in the down position.
