Audit | Braunstone Police Station | Where's the Yellow Phone Sergeant?

  • Today we visit the nearest police station to the HQ in Leicester.
    Surprisingly it doesn't have a Yellow Phone or an Intercom for use when the Police Station is closed.
    We take a walk around, discuss a few findings and report a deep pothole on the grass next to the foootpath to the local council using the App.
    When the officers come out, we have the usual chat and we inform the Sergeant of our findings who says he will look into it.
    We hope you enjoy the video.
    Please Like the Video to help the Algorithm :)
    We are a Brand New Auditing Channel (Born September 2021) and we appreciate every single Subscriber!
    We will continue to visit as many places as possible!

    Brilliant. From him trying to give out advice via strange scenarios and this insistence on standing in specific places on the path, to it being 'I'm here to check up on the place' was delightful :) Subtle control of the situation :)

    Yo!!! … (liked the shout out to AB). I’m really enjoying your videos - thanks and keep up the great work!
    I do really enjoy that you hold people accountable, you’re trying to educate and you stick to your guns.
    Stay polite…. I love Marti and Live Free for their entertainment value however it’s so nice to see a less antagonistic approach.. very smart.

    Hey DJ, I know you did this audit ages ago but I didn’t know if you were aware that Disabled Bays for public buildings/ Council areas are supposed to be a certain size. It is to allow for wheelchair drivers or passengers to be able to open the doors fully from either side of the car. I am a wheelchair user & driver who is totally independent. I don’t have someone with me 24/7 to help me in & out of my car. Therefore, both spaces should have the yellow zigzag areas on both sides of the car to allow for driver from one car & a passenger from the other, to get in & out. Love your work! 👍🏼

    The sergeant is incorrect, he can't tell you to move away if he is dealing with an incident so making up a fictional scenario so he can subliminally inform you that there are restrictions to your journalism is wrong. You have the right to record any incident you like as long as you don't obstruct. And he also has no authority to tell you where to stand on a public pavement either. This sergeant just can't seem to help giving directives.

      PTTP is also very good for the same reasons. I get the impression that those auditors we've mentioned are set apart from the other auditors in that they actually _want_ police and security interactions to improve, rather than just wanting bad interactions for clicks. You can sometimes easily notice this by just the naming of videos, the other day I came across a random auditor video titled something like _'My favourite police interaction'_ the auditor was arrested! 🤔 I really wouldn't describe being arrested as a 'favourite interaction!'

  • @simshogun2240
    @simshogun2240 Před 2 lety +3

    Always note they say "you can understand" and get you to agree, never agree because when the police make such statements it is in a language called legalese and in legalese it means "stand under" my authority and by agreeing it means you consent to standing under his authority. Never understand or agree.

  • @john-de5vf
    @john-de5vf Před 2 lety +5

    Yes . A sly Sargent he was . Tried to get your details for no reason , as if he can just ask and you have to give 😊. Also saying he has the right to tell you not to film an incident. 🤔.

  • @HarryNicNicholas
    @HarryNicNicholas Před rokem +2

    if you're worried about me you can always go away.
    they have to boss you around even when they're trying to be polite, "stand over here" just go away and there's no obstruction at all.

  • @rudeboijasmithy
    @rudeboijasmithy Před rokem +2

    Policing has become an absolute joke in the UK. How can a police station of this size have open hours less than a post office? There used to be a FT desk on the left as you walked in. This sargent is an overbearing idiot. His questioning is not necessary, and he is clearly on a power trip. I grew up on Hallam Crescent and remember them building this station in the 1970's. It took forever to finish as vandals would break all of the windows as soon as they were installed.
