I have 3 of the mjx hypergos and not a bad one yet. Miniature Arrmas for sure. I got that truck last month. I drilled holes and installed flints in the drift wheels. Night driving is a blast. Trimmed my fenders and put Contact 26mm foam wheels on all 4 corners and hit 45mph consistent. Battery packs last forever... waiting on your run video.....
@@brandonwynn9801 for cheaper sparks, screw titanium screws into the tires and they don't wear down like the flints do. Just get long enough screws to make sure you tap all the way into the plastic wheel hub.
I don't know if I'd agree battery packs last forever. I got 15 minutes on 3s 2000 mAh packs. That's "okay" but kind of annoying because you can't just jam a bigger pack in there. 15 minutes isn't my idea of 'forever', but your mileage may vary.
That's the biggest issue with small RCs is the limited battery compatibility, and having to pay $40 for a $20 battery. $32 will get you a 3s 5200 mAh battery, but you're not fitting that in any MJX.
The batteries don't last that long, they're lithium ion instead of lithium polymer batteries, which give more torque and top speed compared to lithium ion.

Good Video man. MJXRC is a very good Drone maker (Bugs series) if you didn't know. I have one of the first 1/16 cars and it's hasn't let me down.
Same shocks, motor, and ESC as the one HyperGo that Hosim re-branded as the HB17...Its the little green or red bodied monster truck you, me, and many others were impressed by...Seems like the last good vehicle Hosim had...When a part on my sons HB17 breaks I just order the parts from MJX...They sell a much stronger spur + input gear too...3s eats the Hosim spur in less than one pack lol
Go for the hbx 16889a pro parts, plastics are more flexible and metal is better than in the mjx, also use the hbx 901a diffs are 1/12 and the best are hbx 2995 but those are hard to find.
Also the shocks are shorter, different motor (kv), this chassis is also 1/14 and the other mjx/hosim/hbx are all 1/16. The arms are shorter than the off-road 1/16 to fit the on-road body obviously,

@@jah-jah87 Thanks for the diff recommendation...The Hosim ones blow and are usually out of stock anyways...Yeah the shocks do look shorter...Probably shorter shaft and spring but the caps, body, and ends look the same...The HB17 also has a 2845 Motor I just assumed this one was 4200kv also...I do have alot of 16889a pro parts on mine too...Amazing the beating the HB17 can take...Just yesterday it survived a 40+mph collision with a Losi Raptor Rey and took no damage...My kid pulled out in front of me while I was doing a offroad speed check cause he thought it would be funny lol...
