How To Open Activa Seat Without Key

This Video explains in detail how to open Honda Activa Seat without a key, if you have either left the key in the luggage box and have closed the seat, or the Seat Lock Cable is broken, or while doing some maintenance, you accidentally closed the seat with the lock cable detached.
Try not to rest the bike on one side (right side sleeping) and do the process, there are chances of petrol leak, or scratches to the bike, even if you put it laying down put some cloth or sack cloth to prevent scratches to the body.

12mm Socket or Spanner

Hi, Thanks for your video. It was very well made.
I have Activa old model. 100 cc.
The battery had low charge. We had removed it and charged it at shop. It ran for few days, then battery is now 11V. So we removed battery.
We thought we would ride the bike (without battery) to the shop. But it kept stopping at idle. So we changed the air-fuel mixture screw setting. Afterwards I couldn't open seat.
I think I saw a loose cable before I closed the seat. So I think the lock cable isn't fixed to the lever.
After watching the video, I removed suspension bolt. I tried reaching up towards lock area but can feel only plastic.
Do you know whether this method works for older models?

most welcome, yes this method works for older scooter models of Honda Activa, if you have fat hands its a bit difficult to reach the mechanism.Try lying the bike to the Rt. hand side put some sack cloth or old tyres so the body is not scratched, after removing the suspension bolt, pull the tyre (swingarm) out so you have easy access to the locking mechanism, try it and let me know.

apply lot of grease, so the circular rubber discs (body cover cushions) does not fall out also u could secure it by tearing a piece of paper/tape etc & secure the rubber disc to the scooter body.

put the scooter on main stand, have someone bend and hold the scooter, or raise the scooter by putting wooden plans under the main stand, also see the bolt has been removed (which secures the rear suspension)
