  • To mark the UAE’s incredible 50th year anniversary since it’s inception, view our updated Dubai Evolution video showcasing the transformation of Dubai from its humble beginnings as a sleepy fishing emirate to become one of the world’s leading financial, business and tourism hubs, at the forefront of global innovation, utilising its proximity to more than 30 of the world’s leading cities within an eight-hour flight.
Dubai’s phenomenal rise from a simple fishing community to a distinguished global metropolis is nothing short of astonishing and with landmark projects such as the Dubai Metro, the longest driverless metro line in the world, the record-breaking Burj Khalifa skyscraper, and the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, which is set to orchestrate the first Arab mission to the moon, help express the ambition of Dubai’s leaders to ensure the city is the total embodiment of endeavour and progression.
The UAE’s celebration of its 50th anniversary will coincide with yet more remarkable achievements, notably the extension of the Al Maktoum International Airport that will enable it to handle 120m passengers, rising to a potential 200m by 2050. With ongoing moves to improve the ease of doing business by implementing a new law that allows 100% onshore foreign business ownership for 122 activities across 13 sectors, and relaxed visa regulations for high-net-worth individuals over 55, the emirate will continue to become a world-leading and welcoming destination.
Whatever comes next, it’s likely Dubai will be at the forefront of the next major global development, forging a historic path just as its ancestors did when exploring a little-known creek less than 200 years ago.

To add to the failed projects, I would like to represent Dubailand, Dubailand was an amusement park which I think was designed to attract kids to go to Dubai by persuading their parents but unfortunatley the project failed. (I haven't watched the video that explains the project so im not sure how it failed)

So we're not gonna talk about the millions of workers being forced into labour camps and paid less than $2 a day? What about the outrages lack of any public services and goods making the place a pain in the ass to live in for residents? Oh maybe even the fact that half of the "beautiful skyscrappers" don't have a sewage system because the leaders of dubai don't have a single clue about basic architecture and city management? No, didn't think so because apparently modern slavery is a "Phenomenal Evolution" in todays society
