We have a new drama as the finale of 2016! It's the drama "Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth" and it stars top actor Park Seo-jun, beautiful actress Go Ara as well as top acting idol star Park Hyung-sik! This is a factional period drama and is set 1,500 years ago in Seorabeol, the capital of the Kingdom of Silla. It shows the passion, love and maturity of young Hwarang, a group of elite young men who are knights.

+EmanKhan A sunbae is someone who is in the same path you are in, but has been doing it longer. In S. Korea that applies to everything; jobs, hobbies/clubs/social activities, and school. For example a newly hired lawyer could address another lawyer who's been in the firm even 1 year 'sunbaenim'. In school, a freshman calls sophmores, juniors, and seniors sunbaenim kind of like upperclassmen. So in Taehyung's case, this is his first time acting, but all the other actors/actresses have acted longer so they are sunbaenim. Also, Hyunsik and Minho are double sunbaenim, because they are also debuted idols, so it would make sense for Taehyung to be nervous on how to address them, especially since its a culture thing so he may be close enough to them to just say 'hyung' when they are hanging out, but this is an interview and he has to speak with 'manners' so he stumbled on how to address them, not wanting to sound rude/show disrespect on camera.
What is the difference between hyungs and sunbae's? Also hyungnim and sunbaenim? Then what do girls call each other?

I am already obsessed with this drama. Initially got interested with V joining the cast, but I'm staying for the total package. The cast looks like they sincerely enjoy each other's companies and so far I love the first 2 episodes.

One of th reasons Hwarang is so great is because of the casting. The managed to cast actors perfectly fit for the roles. They may not be like their characters irl, but I feel like all of them have something in common with their characters. For example Tae is well know for being cute and a bit weird sometimes and you can totally see that in his character. And Minho is a popular idol with great charm and was casted as a womaniser. It totally works and makes the drama very heartfelt and believable. It will make you fall in love with the story and cast
