    I've seen it from another youtuber that you also should keep torso looking forward without letting it swing following legs

    I was taught that this move is adapted from DnB step where it's called X-Out. With the variation to introduce it into the new style, the name was originally changed to X-Step from what I understand. Agree that the move shares fundamentals with the running man, thanks for sharing your perspective and passing on the knowledge to beginners ❤️

    • @RavagedBlightScience
      @RavagedBlightScience Před rokem

      Thats correct except you cant do the running man to broken beats at 185bpm (dnb). Thus x step is basic move in dnb which can be done at that speed. My go-to move at raves, can dance different variations of it for the whole 6-8 hours per night.

    The names aren't wrong. Often things have multiple names. For example pop, soda, soft drink, coke, and simply drinks are all words people use for carbonated drinks. It's not random and there is nothing difficult to understand. When a waiter asks me what kind of coke I want I know what they mean even though my family and friends call it soda.

    • @Marbiik
      @Marbiik  Před rokem +7

      Well in dancing is very important to have proper vocabulary to pass on the culture and moves properly and to have a structure where new generations can learn without confusion. Is not helpful when names are invented, we have some different names for a same thing but it gets bad when people just start inventing names, that last thing is what I wanted to target with this video.

    • @JAYZ999
      @JAYZ999 Před rokem +2

      @@Marbiik but aren’t all dance move names invented? Naming a variation is not a bad idea, makes it easier to communicate which variation I’m talking about instead of saying the running man variation. But anyway great tutorial and nice breakdown for beginners.

      @@Marbiik I get what you're saying about some are just variations or need a universal name ect. But I think this is just how language works lol. Even in English words change depending on what's popular. So what about translations to other languages? Let ppl have their own way to say things if they want, you can just use what most people will understand. This happens in any culture where things get technical and naming conventions aren't strict. Music genres have this problem all the time.
