I preferred his s1 character, more believable and interesting, like an anti villain. The "hero" of the show, but quite a villain himself. I also liked Krystle's Rebecca esque sl with Alexis's presence haunting everything and a volatile marriage to a rich, entitled asshole. The entrance of Alexis basically reset the show, but it DID work so 🤷.

True but i think that was the way they wanted the show to be. They intended for Blake to be a villan type character who people either loved or hated. He was supposed to be mean stubborn. Sort of like Victor Newman on Young n Restless today. But i think when Alexis came and played the villain role so well the writers started to make blake more empathtic and focused on Alexis being the sole villain. Even Fallon changed and became a nice caring character after Alexis arrived.

Is it just me, or did that necklace never looked as expensive as they claimed?
I think they named it to be $70k at some point?
For 5 tiny emeralds on a golden chain?
It's like they didn't expect the necklace to become a plot point when they introduced it.
Otherwise they'd claim it was diamond, and much more costly, for Blake and the other guy to act like its valuable enough to save their business.

Darling, that is a top brand 18 carat solid gold necklace earring suite.
With roughly 40 carat of likely colombian emeralds. Surrounded with baguette cut diamonds of no less than vs1 quality. Most likely top wesselton.
      If they claim It's $ 70k, then $ 70k it is ! 💎💎💎💎💎💎 💋

@@ninaelsbethgustavsen2131 aw but those emeralds were TINY xD
Blake is one stingy husband at this point!
If Alexis knew this little trinket was Krystle's most valuable possession, she'd mock her mercilessly.
Along the lines of, "Oh, so he gifted you some trinket? How kind of him. I remember when he first became rich, it only took him a few month to gift me, a ruby necklace set, worth almost a million. And yours is what, 70k? So Blake values you about as much as to spend on you in just a few months, about twice of what he pays his cook in a year, and about thrice of what hew pays his maids? What an upgrade for a mere stenographer."

It has nothing to do with the size. Weight and clarity determine its worth. You size queens really need to learn this!

I may be wrong, but I'm sure a jeweller friend of my dad's told me that emeralds are often more expensive than diamonds. Moot point for me anyway, as I can scarcely afford a cork on a piece of string.
