not gonna lie, that fum thing actually looked like a good product. i never smoked cigarettes, but i did smoke something else every day for over 10 years and found quitting really, really hard. i switched to a vape which was 100% better than smoking, still not ideal but so much of smoking is the physical habit of having something to pick up like that. i transitioned off the vape too eventually but i wish i had a product like that fum thing instead of the vape i could have used. having something like that to replace the physical action of smoking is such a game changer, and people who smoke should rly be trying to quit it. anyone out there who still smokes i really think they should consider trying that thing out.
@necalovescake thanks for that, as someone that doesn't smoke and has never smoked y was hesitant as first to promote such product but after a bit of investigation I actually think this is a FANTASTIC product that I'm happy to promote.
Thank you very much for that comment, it means more to me than you would imagine.
It looks like there's some cracking in several of those hi-res photos?
I'd love to see one or more videos showing how these paints behave over various undercoats (e.g. slapchop, various greys, warm off white, etc...).
That would be awesome, hopefully someone that's way less lazy will do it
I like that Vallejo decided to make its own sub-range of Xpress Color to make sure that they all behave the same in each range. That has always been an issue for me with Contrast, and Speedpaints to some extent, that they don't really behave the same throughout the range. Some can be great and easy to use there are also some really thick and difficult to use paints while some are more like a wash. This is very user friendly by Vallejo.
Thanks, that was my idea because I was as frustrated as you are.
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures Just curious if you happen to know if the long range plans are to further expand the Xpress Color and/or expand the Intense range?
@cjschmeeds no, 60 colours is as big as the range will ever be. It's a hard limit due to rack space for the display and because we don't think any more are needed to be honest
Literally came here to comment this. It belw me away how every single color behaves exactly as I expected and wanted it to. The flow consistency and pigmentation all felt right
@JuanHidalgoMiniatures any chance you can ask them to make the racks more user friendly😂? Once they get knocked over by customers, it's hard to pick them up
I can’t wait for the charts to come out! Thanks a million Juan! MVP!
Already available in the Patreon Discord
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures totally missed it! Thanks! Looking forward to some of these! Thanks for all that!
Now if they can do a Necron tesseract glow that be fun! Or heck any glow paints.
I’m so happy you got us some military based colors!!! Thank you!!
Happy to help
Right of the bat the second wave of Xpress Color does not disappoint. There's a bunch of great colours in here. Those intense colours also look really cool. That intense green in particular looks incredible. Truly Dark Angels in a bottle.
Thanks
Amazing additions to the range.
Thanks
I am super hyped for these! I’ve been waiting for the range to expand ever since I grabbed the first set and this fills all the gaps I’ve been leaning a citadel for. Can’t wait for my FLGS to have orders go up
Happy to help
I think you hit the mark with everything. I have been waiting for a while to get the expansion and have already placed my preorder. Big thank you for making the distinction with the intense paints, it was a huge pain point with the GW contrasts when I was primarily using those.
Thanks mate
The way that Juan says 'have' is like ASMR to me.
Happy to help 😘
This is amazing. Exactly the colors I thought were missing or under performed. Really awesome. Cant wait to try them out
Thanks
Thankyou for taking the time to show us these
Happy to help!
Very well organized and presented, thankyou Juan!
Happy to help
that landser grey looks fantastic, i can see myself using that as a contrast/glaze/wash for a lot of weathering, basing, scenery etc.
Oh yeah, it's one of the most versatile colours of the range. It's basically good for everything
Really looking forward to the expansion of the range. I feel like the Xpress color range is the best 'contrast' type range out there. Definetly going the try some of the new colors.
Thanks
Thank you for the video. Love the new colors. Excited to add to add them all to my existing collection of Xpress Color paints.
Awesome
Excellent range. Excited to try these, especially the saturated ones!
Thanks
These are looking fantastic!! Can't wait!
Thanks
Juan, me acabas de alegrar el día. Enhorabuena Vallejo y todo el equipo colaborador.
Gracias! Los del laboratorio son los verdaderos héroes aquí
🙌 great additions! Looking forwards to trying them all out
Awesome
Thank you for the images!!! I'm all in!
Happy to help!
Just watched first part about 24 colors, looks like expansion is huge :X
It's massive yeah
Thank you Juan. You do the best reviews!
I KNOW
Big thanks for the photos and chart!
Happy to help mate!!
I really liked the Vallejo xpress range so far, super hyped for the new bone color and the intense colors, especially the new yellow! Gracias, Juan!
Happy to help
Great video! Gave me tons of ideas!. Need to get some of these paints in my hands
Awesome
Thanks so much Juan, have to get these now.
Happy to help
Love these new colours. I'll definitely have to grab the set when it's available!
Glad you liked them
A lot of these colors look great! Military camo and the Intense colors, especially for Ultramarines and a fantastic Dark Angel green color. Thanks for sharing!
Happy to help
Wow! Amazing (and very necessary) additions. Great video, Juan! 🙌 Preorder done 😅
YEAH
Your first video on the Vallejo Xpress Color range sealed the deal of the original release. Bought them all. And based on this video I’m going to buy this entire expansion to the range. Amazing stuff.
Thanks
Very much looking forward to these. Hope to get a full set in the UK soon and then I'll pick and choose a few AP Speedpaints and Citadel Contrasts as I need them.
Great idea
Obsessed with that Turquoise 😍
It's gorgeous
These look fantastic cant wait to get my hands on the new ones
Thanks
Absolutely love my xpress color, got the whole initial set, will definitely get many new ones!
Awesome
That black is a perfect black for Ravenguard. Great looking colors!
Thanks
This is amazing, thanks so much for going over each color. TBH I think these will make a great addition to my paint sets.
Happy to help
The pure pgmenes of black legion and baal red were amazing in the new contrast line, and was something I was hoping GW would maybe make more of, but i am glad Vallejo has filled that itch. I am hoping these paints come out soon, the window for ordering paints before the weather gets colder in Canada is slowly shrinking.
I suggest you ask Vallejo directly about that
These all look fantastic. Can definitely see me picking a lot of these up
Awesome
Very nice, some great colours there.
Thanks
Muchas gracias, tío. el mejor review de la linea, proximamente a comprarla.
Un placer!
The military style colours are a great addition! Can't wait to try some!
Oh yeah!
Luvin the xpress range, after following your guide for tyranids and cant wait to try out some of the new ones , great vid :)
Thanks
These look incredible! I'm pretty sure I'll be replacing most of my Citadel contrasts with these.
Awesome
It would be lovely if you would make a video painting a large sculpt with this line. The new colors are wonderful. Congratulations to all involved.
I have some videos planned yes
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures Thank you.
Thanks Juan.
Happy to help
Oh, this is what I have waited for
Yeah
A selection of amazing hues and intense tones :)
Thanks
Enquired with my local well stocked FLGS/hobby shop and while they stock Vallejo range they do not expect these to arrive in Australia until shortly before Christmas. I'll be keeping an eye out, really pumped to get a full range.
Australia is VERY far away and boats are slow mate. The wait is worth it though
Great video!
Thanks
SUPER exited for all those new browns and whites! I was stalling over getting the new cities of sigmar cause I wanted to do them in Excelsis colors but I couldnt find any matching contrast paints that weren't overpriced citadel ones. Also great that there is a more intense replacement for plasma red, imo the only miss in the whole range.
Glad to hear that
I love the ochres/tan colors but the Intense Viking grey is amazing.
Yes it is, one of my favourites
Lots of great colours
Thanks
Thanks for the video, and better, for your work on the expansion on the range :)
Now XPress feels complete to paint whatever!!
Happy to help
Oh the tease is finally over! What a great video to wake up to! Thanks for all the work, Juan!
Thank you for watching!
@@JuanHidalgoMiniaturesHave you had a chance to try Vallejos new brushes?? Or are you strictly working on the paint side of things? I’d love to see some real world reviews of them but can’t find much or anything on them
@1TS_C1C4 I have them, I like the real hair ones (forgot the name) they are a decent brush especially for the price.
Are they spectacular? No. Are they good enough to do 80% of the work comfortably? Yes. Are they cheap enough that you don't give a fuck if they get destroyed? Fuck yeah
It really depends on what you are looking for in a brush.
Thank for the review. Particularly impressed with the bag of bones which seems a better option as a one coat than GW skeleton horde which I find too muted for single application.
Oh yeah, it's the best bone contrast paint in the market IMO.
Yes! So excited! when I saw those backpacks posted a few weeks (months?) ago, I knew it was for this!
MONTHS and not a few of those
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures time flys haha, so excited tho! just finished the video! Very excited for the intense black, and surprisingly the pinks! Some really beautiful colours!
These look great! I like how you tried to cover all bases in the second wave, it definitely feels like you have colors that can cover any use they might need just by thinning them down. The intense range is good as well definitely better to make sure they're separate from the "normal" range as someone not familiar could get a bad first impression if they grabbed one off the shelf and didn't know.
I can't wait for these to arrive in my local shop so I can grab that purple for my Emperor's Children
That's all we wanted, make sure all the possibilities are covered so the range is complete and done
Please do a follow up video, specifically for the intense colours where you paint space marines in them, maybe with a brush and airbrush, with and without zenithals so we can see how they look. The sons of horus green looks stunning specifically and I really want to see a marine painted up in that.
I will probably do videos on marines with them but I'm not going to go through all the options, it's too much work
That "Ultra" Blue and "SoH" Turquiose would be nice.@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures
I will grab a couple of colours for sure, because I am in love with them.
Awesome
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures I am getting seraph red, dreadnough yellow, and hospitaler black as soon as they are available in the US. Or maybe when I go back to Spain on Christmas. But I will get others as needed, because there are great colours here.
-purchased- 😊. Having used the first wave of XPress I just had to secure the second wave. I struggling to use anything else now 😉 (other paints dry too quickly)
I hope to see you painting models with these in the near future.
I have plans yes
Absolutely love the military colours
Thanks
These new colors flipped the switch for me to order some. This Dreadnought Yellow and Phoenix Orange looked great, plus that Mummy White since I use that type of color quite often and always had to mix it myself. I just whished there was an intense dark purple in there, like a "Hivefleet Leviathan in a bottle"
There was so much we could do and not all ideas could go in.
But I'm glad you liked them
I will try to mix it from Legacy Blue and Seraph Red, maybe Phoenix Orange works for a muted purple. Having the base colors is already great so I see the reasoning
Man I have been anxiously awaiting these. I can't wait to pick up the range. Citadel has some colours I will always buy, but Vallejo nailing the consistency between all their colours is a huge needle mover for me, and I much prefer a matte finish, so Vallejo wins there as well. Plus, dropper bottles lol.
Thanks
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures No, thank you. You're Juan in a million. Sorry, had to.🤷♂
That Khaki colour is GORGEOUS! MAN, CAN'T WAIT! Will be buying the rest of the range, for SURE!
Thanks mate 😘
Brilliant my man, thanks for doing this. The intense colours are fantastic.....tempted for a son of Horus army now with that beautiful turquoise
YEAH
Looks great. !
Thanks
There's certainly some interesting paints there!
Thanks for the photos and especially the combined one. (:
Fingers crossed that these will be more easily available then the original ones where.
Fingers crossed
Many thanks for the preview of these new Xpress paints. The rotten flesh seems like a perfect fit for old school zombie flesh. 👍
Awesome!
Colores preciosos.
I don't know how you did it but you and them really nailed the formula.
Between all the different ranges like citadel and AP, xpress is the one that maintains the same behavior between paints within the line.
Every single one behaves exactly as I expect and want it to.
Going from 24 colors to 60 blows me away
Thanks! That was VERY important to us, and the reason why the Intense line exists. I'm very happy it's appreciated
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures with the Behavior of the intense line and the shitty was of flourecent paints, is there a way to find somewhere in between?
Khaki drill looks amazing. The others look amazing as well.
Thanks
Man, I think I will definitely pick up the military colors and greys. These are some really nice colors.
Thanks
Wicked Purple is definitely must have
I love it, it's a grey full of life and personality
Wow! I'm amazed by those. With this Xpress range expansion, Vallejo got rid of the only weakness this range had with it's first wave of release: The lack of colors compared to the Contrast range. Now the Xpress is 59 Colors (60 with the Medium), against 61 Contrast colors for Citadel (62 with Contrast medium). Games Workshop now have something to worry about.
Vallejo now plays in the same category of quality as GW, at half the price for the SAME quantity of paint in mL/oZ by pot, AND in dropper bottles. It's not a vulgar copy, it's a much better one.
Take that in the bollocks James Workshop!
Lol
Wow this looks amazing! :O
Thanks
Oh man, the Ork skin xpress is one of my favorite, but it looks like rotten flesh could also make for some great savage orks/beast snaggas!
Indeed! It's a great hue for orks
Gracias.
Gracias guapo 😘
Thanks for the video - any idea when this will be available
I suggest you ask Vallejo
Thanks Juan....now I have another paint line on my "Want to Buy" list. This despite having a full line of Speedpaints 2.0 at home. Admittedly, this line has a few different colors and also behaves differently. At least that's how I'll justify the purchase when i click the "buy" button later!
What?! I don't have a problem! You have a problem!!! 😆
No problem with wanting more paints
Great channel. The only thing missing for this video is on the paints segment, I'd like it if you showed how the model looks once the paint dries for every color. Keep up the good work!
It's all in the folder linked in the description. But I should have included the images in the video as well I agree
Great video. Do we know when these will be released?
Thank you , Juan .
🐺 Loupis Canis .
😘
I must admit that a few months ago I asked in a comment under your video about the color of the feldgrau and you replied that Vallejo would have that color. I am positively surprised that this color was really created by Vallejo. You really know what you're talking about and it's obvious that you work with them on xpress colors. In the age of today's Internet, this is a really sought-after phenomenon. Kind regards.
Of course! I always deliver.
I bought the first Vallejo paint around 2004, I immediately knew that these were paints with a wide range and excellent pigments. I have never been disappointed. When I painted some historical models in recent years, of course, like everyone else, I succumbed to the charms of contrast paints. Unfortunately, the lack of appropriate colors from the "historical" palette meant that I combined my own versions anyway, inks and the Vallejo line of transparent paints helped me a lot in making my own versions of contrast paints. But unfortunately, sometimes the homemade blends weren't as consistent. As soon as I heard about xpress from vallejo, I knew it would be of a high standard and I will not be disappointed. I'm talking from the perspective of an owner of over 25 colors from GW and at least as many from Army Painter. (and all possible xpress versions) I am especially pleased with the fact that Vallejo has not forgotten about players and modellers of historical models and figures. I know, I know, I sound like a paid fanboy 😂😂😂
Hola Juan.
truly excellent paints! finally a pink one coat paint that doesn't suck
IT'S SO GOOD!!!
I’m glad they’re finally expanding! I was kind of disappointed with Speedpaint 2.0; they dried too fast on my models! Xpress Colors stay workable longer.
Yes we are very proud of the formula
Love the colors, but white scar has done its usual 'very slightly blobby even when great' effect on your prime, so the flat regions in your test packs look more mottled and dark than usual.
Love that mummy flesh and fairy skin though, will definitely be grabbing those when I see them
That's white primer for you
New colors, again ?... YEAAAAHHH 😁. I have the new full range, and I love it.
Glad you like them
The only thing i need now is a green that matches with death guard. I am definitely gonna be picking up a handful of these paints
I painted a Horus heresy Death Guard marine using these paints and Commando Green was a perfect match for the shoulder pads. I don't know if that green is the same, but it's green and it's on a Death Guard model....
Hello Juan 😊. Awesome video! I'm still new to mini model painting and your videos have been very helpful. Where do you get your mini models you use for the color tests? I think having something like that would be very useful to me when I way to try layering new colors.
Thank so much!
Just as I was a bit critical of Vallejo's decision to bring out a "small" range of Xpress Colors last year, I have to take my hat off to them because with this second batch they have completed the range perfectly. I do miss perhaps a more vivid green in the Intense range but, counting that as a separate range, I see the main Xpress Color range as more than complete enough to paint just about anything an average user like me might need, I can't wait to get my hands on the full range!
Glad you changed your mind
Madre mía, vme voy a tener que comprar todas, algunas son espectaculares, quizá las intensas son las que menos me llamas quitando la heretic y la negra
Buen curro 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Gracias
Thank you for the demo video - I do wonder if you could talk about the difference in using the Vallejo XPress colours to actually paint a Space Marine over the Contrast paints?
I might do some videos about that in the near future
I gotta get Fairy Skin xpress color right away. I just bought a bunch of pig-faced orcs from Warp. a dab of Fairy Skin will go right on the snout/nostrils. all the colors look great so I will buy them all.
Tanned Skin and Mahogany look like the weakest offerings but... Mahohgany looks like a great color for finished wood, a cane, staff or music instrument.
I personally love them all but each person has a different taste
The military colors look amazing in the photos. A good area for historical players that both contrast and speedpaints miss. Do you think those will be available in their own little set?
I don't know, I surely hope they will be available in a set of 8, them being 8 is intentional for that very purpose but you never know
