    IMPORTANT . . . If you do decide to open the can puzzles, please use a rim cut can opener (also called smooth or side cut). This cuts the can from the side of the top 1/2 through the crimp. This will keep the top lid and can in good condition and the top will still function as a working lid without ruining it.

      I was going to post similar advice. I believe they're called safety can openers. I would further suggest that you either practice on less important cans before using it on those puzzles, or alternatively if one of your friends has one and is familiar with them, let them open the cans. These can be tricky to learn how to use.

    One of the BEST things about this video is because every unboxing part was filmed individually when they arrived, Karen is full of enthusiasm in every shot, and doesn't slow down 😊.
    I'd want to try the moving puzzle. Just to find out if you can roll them into a tube by connecting the left edge with the right one.

    Also I really recommend hanging a sheet of plastic over your collection (though it's not the cutest), to protect from unexpected water leaks. Also, keeping them in the shade as much as possible to reduce bleaching overtime :). At the same time, displaying your collection is part of enjoying your collection, so no pressure! Just a tips!

    I loved the puzzles in a can. As a Ford enthusiasts Id collect the blue oval stuff even if I didnt collect puzzles. One bit of advice would be to use a can opener that cuts thru the rolled seal from the side. Then you won't have sharp edges and you can put the top back on the can like a lid. Hi Karen. May I suggest that if you open the can puzzles to use a Safe Cut can opener. They cut the lid from the side instead of through the top. You can also put the lid back on and either tape it down, or put a plastic lid over it. I think that would be the BEST way to do it. I like the Moving puzzle. It would be neat to have several of them to connect to each other. Congrats on your finds.

    Your Painter's Puzzle has a really interesting story. There is a game by the same illustrator. I have a copy at home, but Google is not helping me find it. It was the BEST game to play with my mom.

    I've been loving the longer format videos, they're truly the Best😉 and you're doing a great job!
    I'd love to do the magnetic Die puzzle, truly because I've never seen anything like it.
    And in terms of future content, I'd love to see you attempt the puzzles in the cans (that you'll need a can opener for😅) I'm interested in the pieces and I'm also wondering if you'd have a solution for storing them.
    Thank yuo for brightening my Thursday, it truly makes my day seeing you get excited and nerd out over something you're so passionate about. One day i'd love to see you open a vintage puzzle exhibit😁

    Happy to see you do any of these puzzles next. But, challenging as it might be , it would be great to see a comparison of the 2 red puzzles with their slightly different puzzle cut and hear what you think is easier (or should I say harder?). For me personally, I'd be doing one of the eeboo puzzles. I have just started their round blue bird, yellow bird 500 piece and am really enjoying it.

    1. I had to buy the Eeboo "Cat and the castle puzzle" after seeing it here
    2. More circle puzzle solves or the Purple Dread, my favorite color :D

    You are the BEST! I really enjoyed this video and didn't mind the length of it at all. I'm not sure that I can explain but, I liked the way you did each puzzle delivery separately and that you interrupted other videos to do it. I thought this video was fun. You keep making them I'll keep watching them. I'm ready to watch you build another puzzle.

    41:30- TUCO is one of those blasts from the past! I do remember those when I was a child in the early 1960s. Also the unique light purple back-color.

    YOU are the BEST! Thank you for these awesome videos! I love the busyness of the Eeboo puzzles. They’re so colorful and pretty. I think those would be fun to see a video about. I know you prefer the clean graphics of Cloudberries. I think I haven’t really decided on a favorite yet.

    I had that Hersheys kiss puzzle back in maybe 1980. My grandmother got it for all of her grandkids. I don’t think any of us ever opened them. I don’t know what happened to it though. It was nice seeing it again thanks I’m a big fan of yours.

    Haven't finished the video yet, but if you do open those metal cans, please make sure you use a can opener that removes the whole top of the can. You won't have any sharp edges like with the ones that cut the inside disc out from the outer rim. You'll be able to set the top back on and it won't look like it's been opened. I think most newer openers work this way? It's a lot safer than the older ones. Those puzzles are excellent! I hope a women's history museum has them.

      @YaaLFH Před 2 měsíci +1

      Not all new ones work like that, you have to search for a "safety opener".

    In the late 60s, early 70s, I did a bunch of puzzles. All of them Springbok, which I would buy in the large Hallmark store in the financial district of Manhattan. The puzzle that made me quit doing puzzles, was a 500 piece puzzle featuring timepiece gears. I believe all the pieces were either gold, brass, or silver. All gears. Easy for you, I'm sure, but quite difficult for me. Having discovered your channel, i again feel that craving to want to do puzzles again. I'll start with something fun before tackling the hard ones. Thanks for inspiring me!

    I live in the Houston area and the BEST building always fascinated me as a kid. I have no idea how long it was before I realized that the building was designed that way and wasn't just dilapidated. Very cool to see it in puzzle form here!

    Ah, the Ford Fiesta Movement. What a blast from the past! :D I watched a ton of people do it and I might very well be forgetting some, but the ones who come to mind are you, Michael Aranda, Kristina Horner, Olga Kay... maybe Brittani Louise Taylor? Joe Penna, I'm pretty sure... probably others too, who knows!
    Were you the one who had to learn to drive in order to do it, or was that someone else? I'm only thinking it might have been you because of where you grew up. It seems like the sort of place where driving wouldn't be a huge necessity to get around like it is in the vast deserts of West Texas, where I live.
    In any case, thanks for reminding me of it. Lots of fun memories!

    If you want to open those cans cleanly without any sharp edges, use the style of can opener that uncrimps the edge without cutting it. You can even fit the lid back on after it's been opened.

    • @YaaLFH
      @YaaLFH Před 2 měsíci

      They don't actually uncrimp, just cut through the crimped edge from the outside.

    oh my goodness, I grew up near that Indeterminate Facade building in Houston! It was right next to Almeda Mall and I thought it was so odd that they built a building to look like it was falling down lol. What a small world, never thought it would be puzzle picture worthy, and haven't thought about it in decades, so what are the odds I'd be watching a video about it on youtube in 2024!

    I loved this video and your enthusiasm. I have to admit that there were so many puzzles of historical significance that I could not hold them in my mind. The one I would most like to do is the round ravens burger with a second runner up of the ornaments! And the one I would most like you to do is the die. I found that concept of magnetic pieces so interesting especially in a box form. Super cool.
