I think the reason why Kira couldn't see Harvest was because he was in a very dimly lit box and, for the bag being pulled, he probably didn't know what it was. After all, he had never encountered another stand user before.

Maybe someone already told you two, but it's VERY important to note that Kira explosions are completely silent and the huge booms we hear are for viewing pleasure only. That's why Josuke and Okuyasu didn't turn and say "What was that loud boom?" instead noting that they heard Shigechi's dying scream. Also it wouldn't make sense for a silent serial killer to go undetected for 15 years if his method of killing was literally the loudest possible method, bombs. So yeah, remember that no one hears the boom.
Besides being a big meme the thing that makes Kira's speech so scary is that when killers tell you so many details about their life it means you're 100% going to die. Shigechi gets major respect for not talking about anyone's stand abilities and no matter how you feel about him it sucks that he died especially while he was so young. A tiny detail that's not mentioned in the anime is that Kira's explosions are all quiet the anime adds in the sound effects for viewers. At this point, I couldn't stop watching I had to continue and the two episodes after this gave me multiple heart attacks.
The moment where everything changed. Darker tone, implications. And also the best Jojo vilain by far. But that's not even a spoiler at this point, he's already that good.
So Shigechi was got his bag mistaken because he was trying to remember how to write something and the tailor took so much to read Kira's name because he was having a hard time reading it correctly. The complexity of Japanese kanji is the real enemy of Part 4!
i also think jotaro doesn’t use the world very much since it’s directly tied to dio. he probably tries to avoid using it as much as possible since it’s such a heavy reminder of who died and what happened during that battle.
That, and Time Stop's limit is (from what I've read, I forgot where) that it takes a toll on your heart, which Dio could regenerate super fast, but Jotaro can not.

I love that we see him as a character more than a villain, being the actual protagonist of this first episode, having troubles to get his hand back and showing weakness (he even makes the viewer worry about him getting his sandwich back even if that wouldn't be good for our actual main charactes), however he's not less intimidating or imposing as a villain, and he shows it inmediately when he reveals his stand

Another thing to say about Killer Queen's design is that its face also looks like a cat, which represents he wants to live a life so peaceful just like a cat does, with a demon face inside that represents his pure evil nature. The cat can also be something like a preview to **SPOILER** and how he **SPOILER** and **SPOILER** to **SPOILER** , but that is not really important, is just a curious fact.
I suppose you guys now know enough that i can tell you about this little detail that is shown in the openings, where the main characters point up towards the skies. That's a symbolic call for justice to those who were murdered by Kira. Also Tonio is back.

the protagonist of this episode, yoshikage kira, is one of my fave characters in jojo, nigh, all of fiction. relatable in how human he truly is, but scary in the way of his psychopathic tendencies as a serial murderer. wonderful to watch, love the guy

Actually jotaro can't use the world for longer than 2 seconds even at his peak back in part 3 he only said 11 seconds and 12 seconds because it was continuing off of dio stopped time, although they don't mention it often enough for it to stick unless you watch every reaction that you can 👀
Unfortunately this is pretty much the reaction you would normally get because of severe obsession with "lookism" in japan. So if you don't look pretty or at least normal people will turn away, ignore or try to avoid. When something happens to a person and he is in pain and starts falling Japanese people will run away from it in fear and panic as if he's about to explode. Fear + unwillingness to get involved. There's no "quick, we need to help this person asap!" kind of emergency way of thinking like in the west. This is especially prominent in videos from inside the train where some person is having a heart attack or something and everyone around him starts to freak out and run away

Hermit purple would be useless because you need a certain goal in order to get a spirit photography/projection etc. like: Dio, Josuke or Cold Tar to name some examples. However they know barely or nothing something about the Killer :/ Would've been really cool to see some credits for Joseph tho
Think this is where we are given the true meaning of pointing towards the sky in the first opening. Its a sign of respect to those that have passed away due to Kira and is a recurring theme in the 3rd opening as well.
Thats he, my favorite villain, just a villain who wants a quiet life. No world domination or etc, just a daily job and daily hobby. I like how the author decided to write a villain with a different vibe, even for the series and for general media, you dont usually see villains like that and it does makes him unique. As you see and mentioned that we can now see what the villain is thinking and etc, all parts of jojo from now on will have some moments were we can understand what the villain is thinking and such. I dont think this is a spoiler because is just the author storytelling evolving so we can understand and enjoy the story even more, I bet we could like Dio and Kars even more if we had that too. The problem with Star Platinum is his range. Stopping time is OP but you have only a two meters range, is risky if you dont know what are you doing.

Someone has already said it before, but the reason Jotaro doesn't stop time much at all is precisely because of DIO. He has a PTSD. He even calls the power to stop time "The world", as he wants to distance himself as much as possible from the ability that killed his friends. Every time he is forced to stop time (to protect himself or others) he freaks out and starts acting very out of character. He's scared of what's inside of him and that fateful night in Egypt just scarred him forever.
Where did you read that? I never saw or heard that in any official source and I know a lot. If you tell me I would thank you but that doesn't sound like an official fact.
Jotaro observes and waits for opportunity, he would never resort to stopping time so early in the fight. Also, I always read the ability to stop time to be a direct extention of the insane speed Jorato's and Dio's stands had (super speed and time stop may look very similar in real time)

I agree that unlike other villains, Yoshikage Kira is just a guy trying to live a peaceful life, rather than dominating the world or something. Have been taking big interest in serial killer theme, I find Yoshikage Kira accurately portrays serial killers. Have weird sexual fetish, choose his victims at random (not having personal grudge or something), victims usually female, having a personality that's not really stands out with the whole quiet life thing. As someone who haven't watch many anime lately, Diamond is Unbreakable is a really great anime for fellow crime genre fans. We can remove the stands and it can still be a solid tv show.

Unfortunately for jotaro he kind of got stuck in a position where he's human so his heart kind of has an issue with the ability, and apparently PTSD from the deal fight I don't know how accurate this is but people keep mentioning it

Jotaro was never one to attack recklessly, the entire part 3 is basically Jotaro keeping quiet and observing and only taking action if necessary.

Actually jotaro can't use the world for longer than 2 seconds even at his peak back in part 3 he only said 11 seconds and 12 seconds because it was continuing off of dio stopped time, although they don't mention it often enough for it to stick unless you watch every reaction that you can 👀
Oh yeah, Jotaro stopped time by Dio's 9 second mark and he was able to get to him by the 11-12 second mark before time resumed.

Unfortunately this is pretty much the reaction you would normally get because of severe obsession with "lookism" in japan. So if you don't look pretty or at least normal people will turn away, ignore or try to avoid. When something happens to a person and he is in pain and starts falling Japanese people will run away from it in fear and panic as if he's about to explode. Fear + unwillingness to get involved. There's no "quick, we need to help this person asap!" kind of emergency way of thinking like in the west.
This is especially prominent in videos from inside the train where some person is having a heart attack or something and everyone around him starts to freak out and run away

Think this is where we are given the true meaning of pointing towards the sky in the first opening. Its a sign of respect to those that have passed away due to Kira and is a recurring theme in the 3rd opening as well.

Thats he, my favorite villain, just a villain who wants a quiet life. No world domination or etc, just a daily job and daily hobby. I like how the author decided to write a villain with a different vibe, even for the series and for general media, you dont usually see villains like that and it does makes him unique. As you see and mentioned that we can now see what the villain is thinking and etc, all parts of jojo from now on will have some moments were we can understand what the villain is thinking and such. I dont think this is a spoiler because is just the author storytelling evolving so we can understand and enjoy the story even more, I bet we could like Dio and Kars even more if we had that too.
The problem with Star Platinum is his range. Stopping time is OP but you have only a two meters range, is risky if you dont know what are you doing.
I think Star Platinum's range is 5 meters, but yeah it is still pretty short in terms of Stand range.

Someone has already said it before, but the reason Jotaro doesn't stop time much at all is precisely because of DIO. He has a PTSD. He even calls the power to stop time "The world", as he wants to distance himself as much as possible from the ability that killed his friends. Every time he is forced to stop time (to protect himself or others) he freaks out and starts acting very out of character. He's scared of what's inside of him and that fateful night in Egypt just scarred him forever.
Where did you read that? I never saw or heard that in any official source and I know a lot. If you tell me I would thank you but that doesn't sound like an official fact.
Jotaro observes and waits for opportunity, he would never resort to stopping time so early in the fight. Also, I always read the ability to stop time to be a direct extention of the insane speed Jorato's and Dio's stands had (super speed and time stop may look very similar in real time)

I agree that unlike other villains, Yoshikage Kira is just a guy trying to live a peaceful life, rather than dominating the world or something.
Have been taking big interest in serial killer theme, I find Yoshikage Kira accurately portrays serial killers.
Have weird sexual fetish, choose his victims at random (not having personal grudge or something), victims usually female, having a personality that's not really stands out with the whole quiet life thing.
As someone who haven't watch many anime lately, Diamond is Unbreakable is a really great anime for fellow crime genre fans. We can remove the stands and it can still be a solid tv show.

Also tho you don't ask, it's sometimes common to ask why Josuke didn't just use his stand to hit the button just to lead them to Kiras suit. The reason is that the button itself is a separate object to the suit itself. So essentially the button isn't broken, so it wouldn't go anyway ^_^.

It was from a english translation of the part 4 manga made by a japanese jojo fan, let’s just say he didn’t know english too well...it made for some funny mistranslations

If I have star platinum then i would just keep on stopping time until I can stop it for like a day or a week or maybe forever, I feel like jotaro should have used this technique to make himself too op but then the story would be that interesting they had to Nerf jotaro so that they could let some other characters shine
They also mentioned that the world isn't good for the user's heart, Dio had a better shot with it because he was a vampire so it didn't really matter how long he'd stop time for so he kind of didn't really have a limit except for slowly pushing it more and more. Unfortunately for jotaro he kind of got stuck in a position where he's human so his heart kind of has an issue with the ability, and apparently PTSD from the deal fight I don't know how accurate this is but people keep mentioning it
