You just can't compare them at all. K/DA is for pop fans, and Pentakill for metalheads. If the streams are any indication, Pop is more popular and widely liked than metal in these times.
Personally, I like both genres but I'm very picky about metal so I just don't like any guitar shredding nonesense. But Pentakill has some very good stuff for some moody times, whereas KDA has me vibing every, if not most of the time.
I just feel sad Sona is in a virtual band that isn't as popular as K/DA, Seraphine is just a lazy copy of her. Dang it.
The only good thing is Sona is her own DJ, so I hope Riot can publish more EDM as Kinetic. I love more those songs more than K/DA itself, even if my forever crush Evelynn is there.

So the battle is basically (Oldschool) Heavy Metal (Pentakill) vs Metalcore(Viego), so it's like a picture of the actual Metal Szene.
It's awesome to see them put so much thinking into even this.

Heavy Metal is hard couse can be used like you want, I guess you mean true metal but nearby every faster point count as "Heavy Metal"
Both are a mix of Power/Speed Metal, melodic points in power or other Genres, true metal and melodic opera.
It's a whole mix-up which can't be decided as a or b, to much influences it's a complete mix-up.
@@erichahnel4271 Of course it's a mix-up, but Viego has pretty clear Core-elements in his music, and even has a few screamed parts, which aren't that many, because obviously Riot wants this to be as attracting to the Mainstream as possible. So Pentakill stands for the Oldschool Metal, like they played before and play now, while Viego leans more into the newer stuff, like, Core. He is not only core, Pentakill is not only Heavy Metal. But they lean just enough into these directions.
And "True Metal" isn't really a genre ^^

Glaubst du wirklich das ist nur im Ansatz interessant? Also true metal gibt es btw... Dazu zählt sowas wie Iron Maiden, Halloween, Gamma Ray - die Begründer.
Das die sich alle nachträglich als Power Metal herausgestellt hat ist ein eigener Punkt und teilweise liegen über 10 Jahre dazwischen.
Sie nannten sich true metal zu neuen punkten daher hab ich auf die Zeit angesprochen.
Metalcore und viego hattest du ein anderes Video? Es ist unmöglich das zuzuordnen, es zeichnet sich aus durch die Instrumente von anderen und da... Meine Güte wenn du nichts erkennst Fang nochmal von 0 an...
Jeder Sänger und die meisten Instrumente sind erkennbar, das machst du nicht Mal einfach so, nur weil jemand lauter ist ist er aber kein core.
Vorallem extrem nicht mit so einer klaren stimme.
Des gibt wenige Sänger die das überhaupt Können seit 1970 und keiner davon ist in Metalcore :D

@@erichahnel4271 Iron Maiden spielen Heavy Metal, Helloween machen Power Metal, True Metal ist ne Bezeichnung, die sich die Bands selber geben, ist wie "True Norwegian Black Metal", so bezeichneten sich Bands der anfänglichen BM-Szene in Norwegen, allerdings ist es deshalb kein Genre,bzw. wäre das sogar noch eher ein Genre, da das genauer definiert wurde.
Keine Ahnung warum du auf einmal von Erkennbarkeit anfängst,das war nie Thema.
Wie ich bereits sagte (vllt. vserstehst dus ja auf Deutsch), dass da natürlich nicht klar eine Richtung vertreten ist, allerdings gibt es genug Elemente, wie gewisse Riffs oder eben auch Viegos Screams, die eben in Richtung Core gehen.
Und natürlich gibt es clean-Vocals im Core, die sich eben oft mit Screams abwechseln... Wie bei Viego :O (auch wenn hier offensichtlich die Screams möglichst weit zurückgefahren wurden).

Grundsätzlich ist Halloween 1998-1999 aufgelöst wurden, viele sind zu Gamma Ray gewechselt, es gibt angeblich was neues von Halloween aber wenn ich nicht so wirklich die Band zusammenbekomme ist das namensglauberei weil aus Halloween ist Gamma Ray entstanden da die ursprungsleute von da waren.
Damit ist sie Band seit über 20 Jahren tot...

Die Bands wurden später eingeordnet in neue Optionen weshalb ich die Frage komisch finde aber keine hat gesagt "wir sind true metal" nicht eine.
Es hat Jahrzehnte gedauert das Leute die schon lange ne sau gute Leistung bringen dazu eingeschätzt wurden weil zwischen 1970 und 2021 nunmal so 1-2 Jahre liegen und viele Bands es kopiert haben

Imagine if this came with an event, with event chromas for the pentakill members corrupted to the dissonance. That would have been cool. Sadly its not K/DA so we got nothing in client.
The problem here i think is tencent because they tell riot what champs to release, what events to start and which Event gets the most attention, sadly its not Pentakill because they are just a passionproject started by a rioter who left some years ago. And i bet not many of these "skincollectors" listen to metal so its a unusual thing and so it gets not that much attention, still the viewercount was pretty good, over 6.8 MILLION people watched this though.
@@scareprankcreepypasta6716 riot hq probably was surprised on the attention pentakill holds, the fact that they had to go on twitter and claim they didn't think it was big enough as to even warrant a pentakill 3 icon (pentakill 1 and 2 have a logo icon)
Sadly its the pop era or kpop era right now. I personally like that genre more, but if Riot puts enough resources as they do with K/DA they will truly deliver more quality songs and great viewers.
But I guess it's all about the polularity right now.

If Riot does not use Pentakill for World songs and performances then it will be such a waste, considering worlds are happenign in Europe, which is famous for metal music
every year one "band" takes over one song of the worlds event, last year was KDA and this year is supposed to be Pentakill, but we do not know if they are performing one song or directly nothing.

Pentakill is one of the most promissing metal bands of the 21st century, you guys should put more information online and produce more content of the bands! Noora and Jorn were at my top 5 vocalists since 2011. They're insane singers, I don`t even play lol. But the band is incredible!

Well they don't do these things multiple times per year or years. They have sooo many projects going on, we can't even imagine. I think that this took some time and I think it will just be nice to be surprised with what they will come next year or years. They always try some experiments and most of them are just worth it. I think it is good this way, I am really surprised every year with what they will come up. You can just see their evolution - most of the time there was just League of Legends, but last like 5 years there is KDA, Pentakill, new games and projects - such as ARCANE these days. Amazing how their company handles to do all these amazing things. They work hard on their own things, but Riot also supports other companies - for instance HYTALE - kinda new minecraft.
I swear they must have collaborated with Mick Gordon on Predator.
Incredible show. The only thing that was missing was kayle flying above stage. That would be awesome view.
They wouldnt be able to really do that since this is motion capture. I mean they could, but they'd have to hook the actor for kayles model to a device and lift her in the air.

If you hear metal Khartus is speaking for himself after Avantasia, also guitar and everything else.
They didn't get crap they get musician which provide a good quality but maybe aren't the most popular.
This mix-up isn't this easy.
And you can recognize musicians at their own style in this music, be it singer, guitar or drummer.
That's harder then getting a few animations or motion capture to get them together and still produce something that's showing their own strengths

God, I remember when this dropped. My brother and I treated it like an actual concert since we couldn't go to any IRL due to COVID. This made our week. Good times!
This was an absolute masterpiece. I cannot believe how incredible this whole experience was, and MASSIVE shoutout to EVERY SINGLE PERSON who helped put this show together. I am speechless

Keep in mind...it can't be extremely high quality. They are processing motion capture with very quick movements (like Olaf drumming) in a big, big virtual space that had to be created from scratch, all the time simulating "realistic" camera movement. More quality means more burning server racks.
They should make it more clear that it was motion captured bc a lot of people got confused. But not the less this was AMAZING

This one i have watched whole performance around 10x already and it feels unique and stands out a lot. Even if its pre recorded, its yet amazing on the production

But this whole event is awesome even if the graphics aren't the best just for the sheer amount of effort it takes, let alone the bangers they created, fan interaction and live animations

Out of all the amazing things in this concert...the one that shocked me the most is Olaf playing drums...on drums.
In Edge of Night Karthus sings "Vi sørger, vi sørger" which is norwegian for "We mourn, we mourn". Cool to see our language featured in a global event.
This was amazing. I really wish it got as much hype as Sentinels, or even the recent skins did. Pentakill may be more niche than K/DA, but you still have millions of clicks during the middle of the day. We're here for Pentakill!

Came here to watched it again because the time the concert is live, one unfortunate event happened, my earphones isn't working properly. The left side is the only one that works. Sadly I had to finished this concert by having only the HALF experience.

Hay personas que se quejan de la calidad pero teniendo en cuenta lo que dura el evento y todo lo que se necesito para hacerlo es muy difícil y fue un trabajo duro como para que después la gente diga que no vale la pena o es horrible, porque si quieren una mejor calidad que ellos mismos se pongan a hacer un evento

I absolutely love this. It's amazing how creative you can get if the most convenient option is not available, and damn did they deliver. Some audio seems to have been tuned specifically to make some things feel more live (especially bass and voice) and of course the mocap really helped too.
