My husband and I spent 6 months apart when we decided to move from Pennsylvania to California. We didn't want our twins to have to change school mid year, so he flew out to CA on Jan. 1 and we came out at the end of May. I didn't have a house to sell as we were renting, but I had to pack up our house and kids and make all the arrangements with the mover and airlines, etc. It was hard at the time, but it went fast as I worked full time and with the kids there was very little time left to think about anything. We are celebrating our 46th anniversary later this month and in the course of our life, it was only a blip in time. The hardest part for me was the shoveling of the sidewalk and driveway.

I am loving the “travel vibe” of your channel lately. Our go twos on CZcams believe it or not, are not other soap, bath, and body creators. They are travel, and Vanlife channels. It’s pretty much all we watch. How are you liking the different type of content that you’ve been making?
This type of content is SO much more fun to film and edit. It feels more purposeful and I find the engagement has gone up significantly. I feel like these types of videos are attracting people who like me for me and not just for what I have to teach them. As a CZcamsr, this is way more sustainable than the how-to stuff.

Optical migraines stink. When I get that aura, I get somewhere dark and quiet and try to relax. Sometimes it helps me avoid the headache.

Raisins! Nope, not here either! Glad you made it home safely too. I spent several months alone as well until hubby and I got moved. We ended up renting my home out but back then the market wasn’t hot like it is now. Unfortunately for buyers the market is tough here. Multiple offers and many selling over asking. You may have to act quickly and most won’t take contingent offers. I wish I could come and help you pack. Next time you head down I-5 between BC and Seattle and need a break, let me know. Welcome to WA!

Jerika it must be hard to move so soon especially having found a great house in Calgary. I hope the sale goes through smoothly and you can get back with your hubby in the US. It’s a lot of work and to do solo take your time don’t risk injury moving the heavy boxes etc. Most of all good luck with the new adventure.
So glad you made it home safely. I think a few days after you drove the Coquihalla it was shut down for a bit because of a snowstorm. You're a brave one - I would never do that drive in the winter, I'd be too worried about poor road conditions.

We drove that exact same road last summer (we drove from New Brunswick to BC and back) for a 6 weeks vacation. We also stopped in Salmon Arm but for one night. The road is so full of twist and turns I can't imagine driving that in the winter, I don't think I would of enjoyed that LOL

I went through the similar journey in the last three months of the last year, as hubby got a job, and I stayed behind to finish my employment, pack the shipment & sell the rest of the household, as my shift was from New Zealand to the United States. Unfortunately, I could not take all my cosmetic supplies with me, due to volatility and customs.😞 So I have to start building my (still hobby) supplies all over again. Your house is lovely and I hope it will not take too long to sell, as separation is not nice for long periods of time. All the best! 🤩👍💕

I get the aura's also. If I take something before it reaches across my field of vision, I don't get the headache.. also called an ocular migraine.
Yes, I find that I dodged the worst of it by napping and taking headache meds. The blurriness is so disorienting but the pain (if not avoided) can last for days.
Change is hard to grasp but the end of the journey will be worth it

What’s the difference between essential oils and fragrance oils. Except the price.
Essential oils are made through distilling plants and organics whereas fragrances are made in a lab with different chemicals.
Jerika, try applying magnesium cream...it might help relieve headache.
Second time magnesium has been suggested for my migraines! I definitely need to look into this!
you should do tie dye candles they sell good over here. look it up how to make tie dye candles.
