    Wait. I’m not American. Let me get this straight. The laws regarding firearms background checks funding the ATF are fairly weak and haven’t been meaningfully updated in years. Yet the Republican Party of small government and individual rights wants to track women? WTF?

    • @PKMNFan4664
      @PKMNFan4664 Před 15 dny

      Republicans haven't been the party of "small government" in a long time. Ronald Reagan, who is seen as the small government innovator and hero to Republicans, actually EXPANDED the size of government with his deficit spending, increasing of the national debt, and "Star Wars" initiative.
      On the other hand, the next Democratic president in office, Bill Clinton, actually DECREASED the size of government, having surpluses the last few years, when he was in his second term.
      Post-Reagan, really every Republican president has increased the size of government, sans George H.W. Bush, and that's because he raised taxes, and that income tax raise was something he got crucified for within his own party.

    This bill provides statutory authority for an existing program and establishes a new grant program within the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to improve maternal health outcomes.
    Specifically, the bill provides statutory authority for the Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health program, which is administered by HRSA's Maternal and Child Health Bureau. This program supports safe maternal care by promoting the use of evidence-based practices that improve patient outcomes.
    HRSA must also establish a new grant program for states and hospitals to implement these practices.
