I was born in Timisoara so I am biased but it is a truly beautiful city with many parks, beautiful architecture and a very calm and peaceful rhythm of life and atmosphere. People are friendly and lovely and they are quite mixed compared to the rest of the country, this is due to it being part of Transylvania and close to the borders with Hungary and Serbia. It is scheduled to become Cultural Capital in 2023. This was postponed from 2021 because of the COVID Pandemic.

Nice to see my hometown like I am walking through it. Been walking on those streets for hundreds if not thousands of times...now I feel like a stranger whenever I go home. So many things have changed

The worst thing when I visit is when they think I am a "foreigner" and they say. "You speak very well Romanian".. I do have an accept after 20 years of being away and not speaking my home language at all except during phone calls with family and friends.

I totally understand. I go back home every 2 or 3 years and feel like a stranger after almost 15 years away, so I imagine 20 years

Hi there, I am planning to have a weekend trip in Timisoara first days of June, I heard Timisoara is the city of flowers but you only showed the flowers at the market. Don’t you have any flower park? Thanks nice video actually 👍😁

Hi, thank you for your comment. There are lots of parks in Timisoara. Most of them are green without many flowers but two of them have many flowers. The two are Parcul Rozelor and Parcul Botanic. You can find them both in my Romania playlist.

@@norlynji it’s not far from the centre, it’s by the river. East of the centre. But the roses will bloom a little later I think.
