    Very good review. As you mentioned, a GOLF watch is just that. I dont need to check emails, stock reports, news, etc while playing golf

    Thank you for a great review, first I bought S42 and as you said it is nowhere near good as my Apple watch so exchanged with S12.. Very happy with the purchase, checked with the laser range finder it is very accurate. Great GPS watch

  • @estudiopueyrredon8658

    Im poor. This will be my every day watch... just bought it, so im happy so far. Thank you, guy, great review!

    I switched from the s3 to s10 a couple years ago. I found the buttons on the s10 very confusing out on the course and switched back to the s3 for a couple years. When I tried the s10 again the battery was dead. I did just buy an s12 on sale, but I worry it will be just as confusing (to me) as the s10 was. I may return to the s3 again because it was quick and easy….though bulky and a bit uncomfortable.

    Good review. I've been wearing one since last year and agree with the pluses & minuses. But one thing drives me nuts. I have a grey strap and, after a round, my wrist really stinks. I asked for replacement but no difference. Anti-bacterial strap needed. I have used lots of fitness watches and never had this problem. Apart from that and the fiddly hazard tracking, it's good enough for me.

    • @GolfGuyReviews

      Thanks!🙏 can’t say I’ve noticed the stinky strap, mine is the original version, not the second Gen with new colours.

    Brilliant review love the detail.
    After each hole it asks about fairway hit/miss left/right can that be turned off or? Think that would do my head in answering them questions after each hole. Rather just put my score in and walked on to the next.

      Thanks buddy. Yes you can choose not to track your stats if you wish, I think it’s an option at the start of each round if…if not it’s a menu setting 👍

    good video, when this measures the distance of your shots, does it use the pre set tees as a baseline, or use real time GPS to track/measure the distance. this is important to know, as some coujrses can move the tees significantly..

    Thanks Kevin i prefer my existing Garmin s42 despite the price difference as i do enjoy the automatic shot distqnce at the top of the watch. Are there any potential upcoming reviews of a proper winter waterproof shoe?

    • @GolfGuyReviews
      @GolfGuyReviews  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks Raj. That’s fair enough. To be entirely honest, probably not I’m afraid. I have the new Footjoy Tour Alpha, and will be getting some Under Armour spiked shoes too, but nothing winter specific, just too busy with what I already have to review 👍

    Thanks.... really enjoy your videos but there is no comparison compared with shotscope v3 so much for your money and takes all of 10 mins to edit each round if needed........ ball data is so important

    • @GolfGuyReviews
      @GolfGuyReviews  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks Steve. I figured the video was already pretty long at that point so I kept the comparison to the V3 at a high level. The S12 doesn’t have nearly the data you get with the V3, you just get a summary of tee shots, approach, chipping, recovery and putting, but nothing specific like the V3. You have to spend the extra £200 for the Garmin CT10 tags, at which point you should probably just buy the V3 👍

      The G12 is the same as the S12, but clips to belt, pocket or golf bag. I feel the same about a watch on my wrist, so I just picked that up. Not yet golf season where I live, but will find out how it works in a month or so.

      Thanks for checking out both videos 👍 as a commented in the other one, if your S20 works fine and your happy with it. There’s probably not much in the S12 that makes it worth the switch (I say probably as I haven’t used the s20 before)

      When it’s on the first hole, press the ok button, the first menu option should be change hole. If it’s not use the down button until you get to change hole, then press ok, then use the up and down button to select the hole you want to be on.
      Let me know if that works 👍

    • @GolfGuyReviews
      @GolfGuyReviews  Před rokem

      As far as I can remember, you can’t manually track each shot with the S12, you have to buy the CT10 tags to enable that feature.
      You can select which club you hit after each shot with the more expensive S42
