  • WELCOME TO THE ARMYGUY TRAVELS ARMY:
Pereira is a city in a mountainous, coffee-growing region of western Colombia known for mild Arabica beans. The main plaza, Bolívar Square, has a statue of independence hero Simón Bolívar, nude, on horseback. The 19th-century Cathedral of Our Lady of Poverty has an intricate latticework roof. César Gaviria Trujillo Viaduct is a cable-stayed bridge over the Otún River. The Pereira Art Museum hosts visiting exhibits.

How does Pereira compare to other locations for an expat, such as Medellin and Armenia? Cooler weather and little air pollution?

Obviously it’s way smaller than Medellín. It’s similar to manizalez but without the hills. Medellin way more expensive, more expats, similar weather to Mede. Armenia 🇦🇲 is nice I did a video there too. I like pereira a bit more than Armenia

@@armyguytravels It has alot of appeal for me. After living years in NY I would love to be in a City under 1 million. Like Santiago in the Dominican Republic as well as Pereira.

The coffee region of Quindio and Filandia outside Pereira is amazing, but honestly there is very little to do in the main town. Also def feels a lot more dangerous at night compared to bogota. Check out the Bear Cave Bar if you can, that is good.
