  • This is a loop of it's a small world's John Debney soundtrack, specifically the English Heavenly Choir vocals used at Disneyland in Welcome, Finale, & Goodbye rooms from 1993-2002. This audio was used throughout these 3 rooms for most of the time Disneyland used this soundtrack, all but the first couple months. The Debney soundtrack was installed in May 1993 as the last part of a year long overhaul that coincided with Mattel taking over sponsorship in Spring 1992. Several months after that arrival, in Fall 1992 the ride closed for a couple months so the façade could be repainted in the 1990's pastel coat, and the queue was rerouted partially to make it more easily accessible for physically disabled guests, but primarily to add the Mattel Toy Shop. The ride reopened along with the then new Toy Shop in December 1992, but the original soundtrack continued to play (With a few 1970's-80's alterations) for a few more months. The abbreviated version of the Disneyland Paris Debney soundtrack would arrive in May 1993, which would change little until Feb 2003 except for the Holiday overlay and this main version of the English vocals. For the first month or so that the 1993 soundtrack played, the English vocals were actually different, more younger girls than older boys, the same vocals used in the Paris America room since it opened and elsewhere in that version since their 2015 refurb. There are maybe 2 very rare June 1993 videos where these rare vocals can be heard. I find it strange that besides replacing the classic soundtrack, they chose to use a different set of vocals for just one month. By late June 1993, this version had been installed. Although I prefer the other soundtrack, I really love the symphony and heavenly choir present in this audio. This video features many rotating pictures of the three rooms this audio played in, all during the time that this audio was played. Many are from home videos as that was pretty much all I could find for Welcome/Goodbye rooms as well as 90's Finale. Until October 1998, Welcome & Goodbye rooms had multilingual greetings with stylized rainbows & butterflies. Installed around 1982, despite being a few years after her tragic passing, this design seems to better reflect Mary Blair's classic art style the ride is known for than what came here later. This also kind of goes for the various woodland animals in Welcome room, and children flying kites in Goodbye room. There are now two pictures from this era (1997) that I have ever found of this Welcome room, and just one from the same year of the Goodbye room. Since 1991, the second half of Welcome has featured a big cutout boat of children from many nations, setting the tone for the ride to come. This is supplemented by a few more cutouts on the mostly unused right side of the room, but there is also a large 3D sea serpent. Although they are charming, they don't really match the art of the rest of the ride. An exception to what I just said is the 1999-present redesigns of the Welcome & Goodbye rooms. The current Welcome features various animals on boats. For the first 13 years after the 1999 installation, the boats moved faster and gave some kinetic energy that the butterfly version lacked. But sadly the boats have moved much slower since 2012. In the Goodbye room, there are postcards meant to show different parts of the world. At least these still have their 1999 movements. There are many video shots in addition to the other two pictures of the large boat of children (1999/2001). The Grand Finale is where the message of it's a small world is most apparent for us all to see. All the world's children are united together in a celebration of song and dance, a reminder that our world is too small for the wars and conflicts that plague humanity. One thing I really love about this soundtrack is that the third verse is always played. At this time the Finale featured the purple & blue sets that lasted from roughly 1979 until the 2008 refurb. The colors reverted to ones more like pre-1979 in 2008. There are a few good images of this Finale in this era, mostly from the early 2000's, but also the Cowboy & Native American from 1999 and an official image used twice of many of the children from the 1990's (Holland geese, African trio, Central American trio, South African & Brazil dancers, & more). For this, I made the audio sound more realistic with an AI filter. I hope you enjoy this!
I don't own any audio or images in this video. All audio is owned by Disney, & all images are owned by their respective owners.

Great video, also I noticed that from 1976 until the '77 refurb the Brazil dancers at Magic Kingdom didn't kick their legs. Also, this is just a prediction but I now think that the Russian and German band audio was not in the finale until the late 70's (most likely 1977), because I couldn't hear them in any of the sound films (unless they were turned off, which is very possible). However, we at least know the original tracks, were Greek flute, Scottish bagpipes, French can-can dancers, Holland/Belgium Geese (I actually don't know if shoes instrumental was there or not!), and laughing children/hyena. With the Bali audio I'm honestly not sure if it wasn't ever at Magic Kingdom because I haven't heard in any videos.

Very interesting observations! I didn't notice either of those so I appreciate you pointing them out. I'm not entirely sure if they originally had the Holland shoes instrumental in the Finale, but I'm pretty sure it was always there because I think I heard it in the Finale in the 1965 World's Fair recording.

I would love to see an audio loop of the Swedish vocals with the WDW/TDL Swedish band audio

I can definitely make a longer loop of that audio. I already have a 3 minute loop of it: czcams.com/video/AIcglOiCe14/video.htmlsi=6O3wGZ-9_Z1glkVK
