Excellent, very timely for me. I just got my engine back together and this is my next job before I put it back in the bike.

Great video! Not sure I’m quite ready to tackle this on my 400 (which has been stored for years and years), but I learned a good deal. Thanks

If it has been sitting for a long time i might recommend pulling the rocker cover and getting a bit of oil on that cam before turning it over a bunch! Glad I could share some info, thank you for watching

Makes sense. I was hoping to get away with a few drops of oil in the spark plug holes, letting it sit and come back and carefully turn the engine with the kicker but I guess that will not build nearly enough oil pressure to get to the top end.
Will defn consider your suggestion. Thanks.

Really really appreciate that folks watch, try to be a mix of helpful and entertaining. Decided to split stuff like carbs and valves as it's useful! The blue cream is called Blue Magic metal polish. It works great, but smells like cat pee as it's got ammonia in it just a heads up 👆
