The best line in BR2049 is a line NOT spoken: when Deckard asks K, at the end, "Who am I to you?", the unspoken answer from K (who merely smiled) that came to mind was "The father I never had".
Blade Runner 2049 is a masterpiece just like the first Blade Runner.
🙌
This is my favorite movie. I just left cinema feeling my life had changed. That can only be done by truly masterpieces.
👏👏
Me after this movie
“I am literally Ryan Gosling”
You mean, literally me
Awesome episode! I’ll be honest, I’ve never really been the biggest fan of the original Blade Runner😬. Don’t get me wrong as much as I love Ridley Scott as a filmmaker and understand the influence that the original Blade Runner has on the Sci-Fi genre, it’s never been a film that I have been able to connect with emotionally. So the first time I watched Blade Runner 2049 I didn’t really have any expectations. But I was so happy to be proven wrong. Not only is Blade Runner 2049 one of the greatest sequels I’ve personally ever seen, but I think it perfectly expands on what Ridley Scott did with the original film. If anything, Blade Runner 2049 actually makes me appreciate the original film even more!
Thank you!!
Another great episode. After not having seen a movie for a while I love listening to these types of episodes with a full breakdown and theories
🙏
The original alien is so great but part of me is curious what a Denis Villeneuve remake would look like
He’s maybe the only one I’d want to to that
Ooh a Villeneuve horror? That feels possible, one day he may want to explore that. It certainly feels appropriate for him.
W take boys, BR 2049 was a masterpiece and was one of the best sci-fi films ever created.
🙌🙌
People don’t even talk about the amazing work he did in the assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert ford. He absolutely should have won an Oscar for it.
Truly a masterpiece.
Awesome episode, love Blade Runner🔥
That’s not true about gosling. He had done the notebook!! Lol
Awesome episode as always guys!
You guys made me re watch this because of this review. Now I’m going to have to re watch it again because of your praise of Luv which I was my least favorite character. Didn’t get how she could dominate K with ease, couldn’t get over why he had so much trouble with her when he dominated Drax in the beginning. But agreed great movie and definitely better for me on the re watch.
🙌
So much great insight on this film thanks guys ❤
🙏
if i never became obsessed with the Lord of the Rings trilogy as a kid, this would be my favorite movie ever. I can’t get enough of the world, the story, the philosophy, the human spirit, everything. a beautiful blend of stunning visuals and emotion that hits you in your core
💯
Great episode guys, this soundtrack is top 5 for me
thanks!
This movie is so amazing. I watched the first one a few hours before seeing this in theaters. Such a great double feature day!
💯💯💯💯💯
Wallace does have an extra scene same as bautista's character there is three scenes online taking place throughout the years from the black out event mentioned in the movie animated then wallace acquiring the company then bautista's character on the run.
True, it’s a short film that Ridley Scott’s son made as a prequel to the film!
You guys knows what best to review 🎉🎉
🫡
I was just about to unsubscribe until you guys dropped this banger
Close call 🫡
Absolutely love this movie. Also I need a poster man 😢😂
The colours and music in this movie is just too fire 🔥🔥
One of the greatest scifi films ever just like the OG. Amazing Movie but imo the only part that really throws me off is the Hans and Benjamin score
🙌
I need a poster for my apartment
Let’s go boys great episode yet again
Appreciate it!
yesss guys excellent episode. I can't wait for the blade runner tv series
🙌
Hey! You won the Poster Contest!!!! DM us on Instagram and we'll sort it all out! Congrats!
Top 3 movie all time for me
My favorite movie the cinematography is so good I could watch it with no audio and still be entertained
Great supporting characters: Luv, Joi, Joshi, Sapper, Mariette, Coco, the File Clerk, Stelline, Doc Badger and Deckard's Dog
MVP: Dennis and Roger
Best Actor: Sylvia Hoeks (Luv)
Best Shot: The silhouette of K in the orange dust, of course
Best wardrobe: Joi's yellow raincoat
Best scene: Wallace replicant being born from a plastic bag to the time she was killed. (Not because of Niander but because of the feel of the scene and the replicant actress' performance)
Best line: GOD... DAMMIT!
Does Joi love K? As much as Deckard loves Rachael
Female Characters: But females are leading the rebellion, looks like.
Wooden Horse: Great way for Doc Badger expo scene
Action Scene: Sapper scene
Luv: When she cries when she kills
Investigating: K's instincts is probably a feature built in. That's why Joshi trusts him.
Deckard and Rachael: When Deckard corrects Niander about Rachael's eye color.
Gosling's Acting: Perfect for the job
Wallace and Deckard: Still gave some more father and son dynamic than Han and Ben nor Indy and Mutt.
Ending: Great ending
In case you don't know, there are 3 anime prequels of 2049 (not Black Lotus). I think they are on CZcams.
Thanks
Never watched it until now, great movie!!!
🙏
love this film
Ana De Armas INTERLINKED

I am currently listening to it 🎉 but it would be cool if you guys would show off memes that come out of these movies- this movie had the “You look lonely…” meme
