Love how you begin this!! With all the voiceovers of great quotes from their great performances! It's great to see Fredric March, as he was incredible, but sadly, lesser known today. Simply fantastic, the clips you chose showcased their talent, along with the photos and the music, truly a majestic piece of work here!! Bring on the Oscars!

I love these videos that celebrate old Hollywood!! Every year when I watch the ceremony on TV, I am thrilled to see the tributes dedicated to these legends and the old movies.
Congratulations on the soundtrack, that expresses the character and the expressive power of these icons of world cinema! Until now, only Tom Hanks equaled Spencer Tracy won two consecutive Oscars!! Beautiful work and honor to you for have remembered all this!

Well, Doug, each time more and more original: the idea, the voices, the changing watermark, congratulations!
I saw Luise Rainer in "The Great Waltz", wonderful movie.

Wonderful tribute- your choice of clips and music was simply superb! I love all you included, though I am not familiar with Luise Rainer, she looks a very interesting actress. Thanks for reminding me of just how great all of these legends are :)

@TheBigValley Thank you, Mirko! Yes, since 1970, there's been a few double winners but of course, I''m sticking to classics.

This is so classy as every actor here was. It means something what they did ,and gives us a mold ,or guide to follow for what is great . By the way this should be updated to include Walter Brennan who won three times, and Jack Nickleson who also won three.

@ZZTopRockman Thanks, Bonnie! Luise is remarkably expressive in The Great Ziegfield. I definitely recommend it.

@MonroeSmile Of course Fredric...Claud! Yes, I loved using the voices...I wanted to somehow get a bit of that especially after re-listening to the quotes. Spencer Tracy's last line in Captains Courageous is good one, but little known.

Anyhow, she deserves a separate tribute...I'll probably do one soon!

My bad. :( I didn't count Supporting Actresses and then left her out since originally this was supposed to be for actresses winning before 1970 and when I counted Murder...I thought that didn't qualify her. More embarassing since she's one of my favorites actresses. Ouch!!
