Who Rules the World is an epic love story. King LangXi wept when his Queen was dying in his arms. He ever said he why can’t have Empire 江山 & beauty? It’s only perfect when his love is by his side. He chosen to give up battle for empire & gave 30 years of his life to save his wife. Bai FengXi/XiYun cried badly after she woke up & saw his white hair; she probably think 10 years are not enough to spend with her wonderful husband. But what choice does she have? If she had not sacrificed herself, could LanXi & army survive the bombing? What happens after time expires for LanXi, will she join him in death or will she look after a kid from him. Can’t help thinking. The ending is not satisfying after the joy of their Wedding. But I will rewatch again on Netflix & WeTV one of the best CDramas I have ever seen with beautiful leads, awesome action sequences, superb acting & wonderful storyline/script.👏🏻
Really prefer Yang Yang in long flowing black hair & do more ancient dramas. He got martial art hero & royal vibes. 🥰
Lanxi endured and lived a lifetime with only one purpose, to rule the world, but then he met her and his priorities changed. To get something you have to lose others, but the thread that binds him to Bai Fengxi is the only bond he will never let go. If she had died he would have lived a whole life of nightmares and pain He had no choice, Better to live only a few more years but with the woman he loves more than himself. Only total and deep love can do this. For me it is not a happy ending, but neither is it a sad one.
Yup agree i was hopi g they gonna have children to leave there bloodline ... thatthe only thing i didnt get in this drama the rest is so amazi gfantastic love of a man to a woman..
In the novel, they did have children and they found a way to revert Lanxi's life span back. I guess Chinese dramas love bittersweet open endings like this one.

@@demonlord1705 I thought about it too, that could be an opening for a second season, but they did change so many things in the drama. Like Yu Wuyuan dying not in the war but by accepting and succumbing to his fate. Then Lanxi brought Zongli and the others with them, along with his "things" (the typical Lanxi) which baffled Bai Fengxi. I can't remember which part but they found a way for Lanxi to retain his youth and the end, they had a child. The novel had so little left for the drama to have a second season, so I dunno. Unless they let Yu Wuyuan return to life or Huang Chao turned around to evil, which is unlikely in the novel.

This drama is perfect. I just feel rushed in the end. The two leads are superb actors. Lusi is super amazing. You can feel the shift of character when she changed to queen. Her carefree personality is gone. She has always supported Yangyang bec of his advocacies of peace but Yangyang supported her bec he loves her since day 1 (though he doesn't knw yet I think the fact that he's where she is shows how he always wants to protect her)
She is so talented, she showed us she can change from one character to the other,even her face reactions and attitude is change too. But some haters say she can not act, her expresion always the same in all her dramas...they must be blind.🙄
This broke my heart ❤️ they would do anything to save more people from getting killed ❤️🥰❤️

Im dissapointed enough when I watch YangYang's interview. He was asked about which is the most unforgottable and saddest scene for him. He answered the scene when Lanxi was beaten by the palace guards under his father's order. Actually in my opinion the scene when lanxi nearly lost xiyun for the second time should be his answer beacause it can really make viewers cry 😔
