I miss the days when the US Mint didn’t sell things at ridiculous prices. That is a fabulous collection!

    Nice collection.. Congratulations Max.
I just started collecting old transit tokens, old store tokens, and 1892 & 1893 World's Fair souvenirs... I'm amazed at the history that took place in the World's Fair. Wrigley's gum first came out. Cracker Jacks came out, the Farris Wheel was seen by the masses, electricity was witnessed by the masses... Such history.

Ive been told and ive read numerous articles that say those Bradford Exchange, Danbury Mint and other coins as such are Not worth the amount people want or say they are worth.. If they aren't from the US Mint, Royal Canadian Mint or other such Mints that has merit then its basically not worth the value..

Buying them first hand from the dealer is totally not worth it. Buying them second hand is totally reasonable. The issue is not that the items are worthless, it’s that the retail price is obscenely high

Really only the Botanical Garden Comem with the 1997 Unc nickel has an excellent premium as the Uncirculated 1997 Nickel has a satin like finish and only 25,000 were produced. This makes it one of the lowest mintage jefferson nickels in the series. After that is the 1994 Satin Finish nickel in the Jefferson commem coin and currency set at 167,700. However these two nickels are not the lowest mintage Jefferson nickels (and I exclude any errors) - that goes to the 1964 Special Mint Strike that was discovered 30 years after its issue. Apparently a coin dealer bought these from the then US Mint Director during the 1960s! This nickel from 1964 is part of what is estimated to be 20 - 50 of these 1964 Special Mint Sets issued.
Beyond these nickels only errors or high grade uncs carry a significant premium (and finding high grade nickels from 1966 through the early 1980's is uncommon).
