The problem with these videos is the audio quality ... If you have no problem with that ... fine 😅 Otherwise I would recommend official (live) videos like "Manners /Blackhole" for a double feature of two very different songs, "Freedom (LIVE)" for a catchy song and much fun on stage or any other song (Dice, Bubble, Rinne, Dragon cries, ...) cause bandmaid (mostly) never fails 😅😅😅 They also have great acoustic versions of some songs and some wonderful ballads and so much more ... 😊

Actually most of their material hits you in the face pretty hard. While some of my own favorites are not quite this fast, you will have a gazillion fast, in your face songs to check out. Black Hole is perhaps the ultimate, but almost anything off of their last two discs will be very aggressive. Regardless, they are awesome musicians and songwriters and even more awesome entertainers and people. A concert with the maids is an unforgettable experience because they pull you right into the show with them with lots of crown interaction, singalong parts, etc. And if you don't sing along, the pigeon will see you and she will come after you! So you'd better do your part!

Your channel seems to be new so I can’t tell what Band Maid songs you’ve heard before… but they have a lot that’s hard, fast, and aggressive! Like some others have said try out the 2-song video from this year’s Lollapalooza festival. The songs are “Dice” and “Hate”. They go from the first song right into the second one and there’s a terrific bass/lead duel in there as well. It’s hard rock the way it used to be played when rock was king!

So, you like BAND-MAID's Hard Stuff. Try 'Different', 'Black Hole' and 'RInne'. If you like anime, like 'Glory', this was another commission for an anime theme song. This one is the season two closing theme for the Netflix fighting anime, Kengan Ashura. I see someone suggested 'Hate' from Lollapalooza. It does rock, though the sounds and camera work aren't quite up to the standards of a BAND-MAID Official LIVE Music Video, it's still worth a look. It has one of Kanami & MISA's famous Call & Response "Battles". And someone mentioned 'From Now On'. But don't forget another great instrumental, 'Without Holding Back'.

One of the many great things you will find with Band-Maid is that they don’t keep the same sound for every song, but you can still tell its Band-Maid. They just rock your socks off in a different way! They are mainly hard rock, but they also have pop-punk and metal edges. The truly shine with their live videos though. I recommend checking out the song Puzzle live. But there’s also No God, Domination, Play, so many fantastic songs. For more MV I suggest, Dice, Different, From Now On.

If you have heard Real Me from Quadrophenia where the bass line is like a lead guitar, you will see what I mean. The lead guitarist Kanami is a big Carlos Santana fan. Appreciated your reaction and am glad that you enjoyed Band-Maid's awesome song Shambles. Purely by chance, I first heard their remarkable music seven years ago and have been a fan ever since while watching the band grow and develop. Like you, I'm not a musician but I do recognize and appreciate great music that speaks to me personally and touches me deeply which results in great enjoyment. Band-Maid is that rare special band that, for me, checks off all the right boxes. The band's founder, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist, Miku Kobato, is the principal lyricist for their many great songs. Her lyrics in Shambles are cleverly written utilizing her native Japanese interspersed with English words and phrases to underscore the theme of taking life's hard knocks in stride and fighting hard to overcome obstacles and hardships to the best of one's ability, while at the same time to never give up on one's dreams. While Shambles was written as the closing song of a martial art anime, it has an inspiring message that universally applies to everyone faced with hardships in life. Cheers.

Great reaction. I am a few years older than you and a life long hard rock fan. I have other musical interest too, but hard rock is my favorite. I have been listening (not a musician either) for more years than I can count and have an extensive music collection. I had given up on rock in the US. All we have are "dinosaur" bands playing the same stuff in the radio for decades and had turned to talk radio. Then I heard Band-Maid about 3 years ago. Their music is so fresh yet familiar and I instantly fell in love with their music buying their entire catalog within a year. I envy you being able to hear their songs for the first time (they have over 100). My suggestion would be an instrumental that showcases their talent and skill ( two different things). From Now On MV is a tour de force. The live version of Onset is also really good. Now we can look forward to a new album this summer. I have seen them live 5 times and I am going to Japan to see them next month. I you ever have a chance to see them live it is a life changing experience. Enjoy the pigeon hole' there is plenty of room, lol. And NO we are not a cult! PS I have subscribed. Keep them coming!

I see this as something akin to being a music critic for a magazine. By that I mean no band has ever paid a music critic to review their album. A music critic is paid by the magazine which is financed by the people reading it. I am doing this out of true love for music and if my viewers and subscribers are satisfied, then they can show support by throwing a buck a month onto Patreon or grabbing a t-shirt or coffee mug with my logo on it. I agree with both statements. There are times that videos require a moment. I like to use the live session of Jinjer - Pisces as an example. The first time I heard that my job didn't just hit the floor comment it ran under a cabinet to hide. I had a similar reaction the first time I heard Holy Roller by Spiritbox. It takes a lot, but I am not completely adverse to it. LOL
Thank you for stopping by to watch my reaction and taking the time to leave a comment!

My $0.02, which you're getting for the bargain price of $0.00, you lucky dog. The reaction was fine - it's a reaction and you paid attention to the music, that's pretty much all we could ask. For what it's worth, your open was far too in-depth. In your mind your videos may be a series with an ongoing evolution, and you want your audience abreast of any changes in SOP, etc. However, reaction videos are consumed piecemeal. By and large, people follow bands, not reacters. I have several reacters I really like, but I don't watch all their videos, because I don't care about Ice 9 Token in Reverse or whatever. So an almost 4m manifesto to kick things off is too much. Distill it down to 30s of "this is how I do my reactions." No offense, but I don't care WHY you do them that way. It's your channel, you get to choose, them's the rules, the WHY doesn't affect me. Then have 1m or so of info about the band and/or your experience with the band's music, and then get into it. In-depth is for after the song. Go on as long as you want then. As long as you're engaging and making a good point, we'll stick around. Good luck with your channel and thank you for doing BAND-MAID!
