    This was my first proper micromacrame attempt with nylon cord. They turned out better than I could have hoped. Thank you :D

    After attempting to try to make these gorgeous earrings for a week now and reading the comments here, I think it would be helpful if you bring the camera down a little so we can see what your hands are doing. There is a lot of empty space at the top of the picture but we can not see your hands as they are cut from view. I get a little confused in the same space another viewer had quoted. Also, could you please comment on how you perform the 11 knots? Do you just do 11 over hand knots or are you switching the two cords as to which one is over the other with each knot? Your rows of knots look so neat and it would appear you are somehow knotting the cords one way then another? I appreciate your comments on this as I really love your jewelry and would real love to make these earrings!!

      Hello Grace. Thank you for your feedback. This video of mine is old, it has 3 years, i think, when I still had some issues with the process of filming, but because of comments like yours I think I managed to clean most of my mistakes.
      So, if you like, go and check some newer videos of mine.
      Unfortunately I don't have the possibility in CZcams to edit already posted video, so for this one the issue will remain.
      In my older videos when I'm writing "Make 11 knots"or 3, or 6, no matter the number, it's corresponding to "Make 11 single half hitch knots", one on one side, one on the other side, but I never change the working cord. The working cord is always the same, only the direction of knitting is changing. I hope this could help you! ❤

    I am getting the supplies together to make these earrings. What type of board are you working on? I was thinking of getting a piece of cork board about 1/2” thick. I lost all of my crafting supplies in a flood and need to start over, I did some macrame over 40 years ago and would like to try to make some earrings and bracelets as gifts. Thank you for your hard work and videos❣️

      @bijoumadame  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello Barbara. Actually i am not using a macrame board. I have never used it. For all of my videos I am using a pillow and pins. If you're used to a macrame board, go for it, it's not a problem. But a pillow with a stiffer foam filling will work the same. ☺️

    Hi, I love these earrings. However, I am having trouble following your hand movements when you are making the knots. What are the names of the knots used, and is there somewhere I can find a printed step by step diagram. Really want to make these. Thanks

    • @bijoumadame
      @bijoumadame  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello dear. Here I am using only double half hitch knots and maybe in the center some backward knots (reverse double half hitch knots). If you can't follow the tutorial because for you it's fast you can change the speed from the settings of the video.

    • @bigmaude31
      @bigmaude31 Před 3 lety

      Thanks! I learned something else new. I never knew I could slow the video speed. Lol. That will help with other tutorials. Much gratitude.

    Thank you for the great video. I've tried with 1mm wax cord but only one thread can go through my beads... Do your beads have a bigger hole? (maybe my cords are too thick?)
    the earrings are so beautiful 🧡🧡

    • @bijoumadame
      @bijoumadame  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello dear. Here i am using flat waxed polyester cord. Even if it is 1 mm thick you can put up to 2 cords through the hole of the most common crystal beads, but the cord must be flat.

    I love your tutorials and wanted to try this one. The cord I have is .5mm so should I use a smaller stone than 12mm if the cord is smaller?

    • @bijoumadame
      @bijoumadame  Před 4 lety +1

      Hello Robina. It depends what effect you want to achieve. If you want to point on the stone, you can still use 12 mm one, but if you want to be more unified I'll suggest to put smaller bead.

    is there something I'm missing just find it so frustrating when you do the chain as not sure where the cords are suppose to be when you twist.

    • @bijoumadame
      @bijoumadame  Před 4 lety

      I'm putting the earring hook in the small circle I just knit, while the last 2 working cords are remaining one from left side, one from right side.
