I don't know how you do it with that scooter in traffic. For us it feels like you are so exposed to any unexpected hit.

After a few months of being sceptical about it, I bought me an Izinq 250 electric scooter for 330 euro's and I can't say I feel bad about it..! Money well spent.
I do all my daily commutes on the scooter now.

ActionKid these are the types of videos I enjoy to watch, ones that have maps on where your traveling to so I can google NYC map and travel with you. Sometimes they also have places your going to which gives me ideas when visiting NYC. I really don't like Livestreams, I never know what to say or how long the livestream will be.

Actionkid is riding a Ninebot MAX G30, is a good escooter but it lacks some power and more importantly suspension...I would recommend a Zero 8 PRO, it has double suspension bigger battery and a little more powerful

I'm not sure if there's a company that rents scooters in New York, but there are scooter rentals in the Bronx as a pilot program.
