- In this furniture flipping video, I’ll show you how to give a tired should be trashed vintage buffet, a fresh new modern look with some simple repairs, stain and a simple coat of paint. Whether you're a beginner or have never made over a piece of furniture before, this makeover is perfect for you. I share my step-by-step process, of finding this piece (life getting in the way and some fun surprises along the way) prepping the furniture to applying the stain and paint. Follow along and see how I transform some furniture we thought was beyond repair from being an Ugly Duckling to a Gorgeous Modern Swan.

I really liked how this piece turned out. I think of all the pieces, it turned out the best. It was an amazing transformation. Overall, I was disappointed in the results of this challenge, except for this one. You turned an ugly piece into a beautiful, functional piece and extended it's life with many years. Congratulations.

This is an absolute Perfect example of a piece that would best benefit from a paint job! In my own personal opinion I think you Nailed it, and it is Beautiful!🤩 I love the character it has! I have not fully dove into the world of refinishing, I’d say I’ve more so dipped a toe in. I am currently working on stripping thick white paint from some wainscoting in my house to refinish it in a dark ebony color. So far… it is going very slowly. 😅

I have my mother in law's buffet that looks almost identical to yours! I painted it white, i wish i had seen the idea of leaving the dark color around the drawers! I like it!

If you have never looked into Durhams Water Putty for your filler needs, might take a look. Fast setup time and it mixes with water so you never have to worry with running out of activator.. Welcome to East Texas, I am actually in NE Texas in the Greenville area..

Thank you! This piece was so old that the finish had completely dried up and it also was not a dark finish so bleed through is very unlikely. The paint also has a built in primer too so that should help protect too ☺️ Thanks for being here
