I gotta say you guys put out the best "how to" stuff for fly fishing! I've been fly fishing my whole life, and still learn something new every time I watch one of your videos! Plus the kits ya'll put out, are top notch! Please keep em coming!
Wow great job by all of you at VFC. Your photography has gone to a new level. Fantastic series and the most complete 12 mins on streamers for beginners I have ever seen. Cheers and a round of your favorite pop on me.
Haha. Stoked to hear it our friend. Glad you enjoyed!
Appreciate it, Andrew!
Great video again guys...loving the series. Can't believe that shot of the small fish in the bigger fish's mouth!
Thanks dude! Yeah Spencer got lucky on that one. Haha. Right place, right time with the GoPro in hand.
Fantastic! Thanks guys!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fun AND informative! Thanks, again!
That’s what we were hoping! Glad you enjoyed it. 😎🤙🏽
Keep fishing those holes especially in pressured area. Throw it 100 times before you leave. Let it slowly fall into the pools, bang banks and you’ll land some good fish.
This was awesome. Very helpful and informative! Enjoy the humor you exhibit in your vids too! 😁
Haha glad you enjoyed it!
THANK YOU!!
Have a great weekend VFC!!
You’re very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. You too!
Excellent video really like your combination of narration and demos
Stoked to hear it! Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for the helpful feedback.
Went yesterday, tried streamer fishing, using a 7 and half foot 5 weight rod, guess I need to upgrade to a 9 ft. Switched over to a mop fly and caught some nice trout. Thanks for posting these fishing tips.
You’re welcome! Yeah… chucking those streamers with a longer rod should help. Glad to hear you got into some fish. 😎🤙🏽
Gidday guys. Fantastic content. Thankyou.
Thanks Ken!
great information Thanks!!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate the feedback! 😎🤙🏽
I just ordered my first fly rod. A redington path and I bought a piscifin sword fly reel.
Awesome! Let us know how it goes out there on the water or if we can help in any way!
This series is awesome, thanks for putting it together. May have missed it, but what’s the difference between dead drift and swing?
🤣🤣🤣I love it😉👍
Appreciate it Jim!
If it’s a deeper pool should I add split shot
Can you do a video demonstrating how to do the dubbing? I’m really struggling with it.
Yeah. We’ll add it to the list. Thanks for asking!
If you fish places where trout eat streamers, it's just the most fun! As they say, "the tug is the Diet Coke !" (Or something like that...)
😂😂😂 You mean Coke Zero right? - Alex 😎
@@venturesflyco No, it's Diet Coke!
Na, Diet Dr. Pepper
Diet Pepsi is the drink of champions.
Hi Guys, I really like you videos on CZcams and I listen to the podcast you perform.
Question:!! Would it be possible for you to do a presentation on what are the difference between hackles, rooster/cock or hen, wet or dry, what to use for streamer and fry flies??
I don’t know if this is too much of an ask but I think it would be a tremendous help to the fly tying viewers that you have.
Many thanks
David
Hey David. Great question. We’ve answered this question briefly in out material video. Skip to 1:45

We will add a more in depth video to our future video list. Hope this helps. Also don’t hesitate to reach out via email or message us on IG and we can chat about it.
@@venturesflyco Thanks very much. That was very useful.
Do streamers work at all in small streams with trout 12-17 inches or so? That’s the bulk of the fishing I do and haven’t used streamers really.
Yeah they will. Just use some woolly buggers and leeches in sizes 8 or 10. Should get the job done. 😎🤙🏽
They really do. We shot the "case study" portion of this video on a smaller stream so it would hopefully feel more accessible/relatable to a lot of folks. I do it a lot on my local streams where trout are in that 12-17" range you described.
@@SpencerDurrant thank you! I’ll be sure to try them out. Especially during run off. Tight lines!
@@venturesflyco thanks man!
Hi, I was wondering what reel Spencer was using during this video? I see he’s using the VFC Fly Flinger rod, which I plan to purchase as my first rod.
Spencer was using a Ross Animas, because he forgot his VFC Ascent Reel at home 😂 We've updated the Fly Flinger with a new look (same rod, just improved design) and we have a nicer reel available now, as well.
@@venturesflyco awesome, thank you!
I like to dead drift them, then let it swing around at the end of my drift
Great strategy! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I'll be honest, I really just wanted to see if there were going to be more streamers hanging off of his face as the video progressed.
