Making Tube Shaped Viking Knit End Caps with Wubbers Pliers

How to make tube shaped end caps using "Wubbers" brand pliers
Regular round nose pliers can be used to make cone-shaped end caps on thin viking knit chains, but on thicker chains, a more traditional tube shaped end cap is easier to make and works better.
Wubbers* are a special type of plier that have straight sides, so you get the advantages and gripping power of using a round nose pliers, with the same results as using a dowel or a mandrel.

TOOLS YOU'LL NEED:
Wubbers pliers
Flat nose pliers
Round Nose Pliers
Flush cutters
Jeweller's file
Rouge Cloth
Ruler
Fine tip permanent marker (optional)
MATERIALS YOU'LL NEED:
How much wire you'll need will depend on how thick your viking knit is. I recommend using at least 12" (30 cm) of 20 ga Round Soft or Dead Soft wire per end cap.

This is exactly how I do mine! I do add one more step to place them back on the wrap and tap and lightly hammer the top. Nice demonstration!
