He threw so many accusations at me and I eventually figured out that they were all things he had experienced in his life, things he had done and things he was currently doing. This person took me on a crazy and stressful ride. After it was all over, I put everything together like one giant puzzle. It was pure insanity.

Absolutely. My.dude loved talking and bragging. I just started listening and eventually got enough intel to figure out he was cheating. One minor slip up. He loved saying "Ya'll " women always doing xxx thing. He messed up and made a comment about Y'all women love having the fans on in your bedroom. That one time I asked, "Who is y'all?" First time he had no answer. When he left after being busted, I went no contact and I am better for it. Narcs really do tell on themselves.

There's more to it. Some narcissists are very sinister about their sadistic side. Meaning they get pleasure because they're warming you and you don't realize it. So they'll abuse you after not saying "I told you".

I let him talk for an hour straight & at the end of the convo I found out he was using psychology on me & starting the arguments to tell “what a person is truly thinking.” I also learned that the real them is shown during a argument it’s like a switch gets turned off (the nice switch) & they show their true selves. I would go on a trip w/ him because he didn’t communicate it to me properly . He started accusing me of assuming that he was being manipulative, secretive, lying to me & that he was trying to propose to me ( mind you we only dated for 5 months & he kept trying to rush me down the aisle ). I never said any of those things in fact all I said was , “no I don’t want to go because I feel uncomfortable.”

This is sooo true! When I look back at a lot of strange comments my ex narc said… at the time I thought it was a weird thing to say but once I found out a lot of truths, it all made sense… he confessed without me knowing to a lot of things
I'm not sure what he was doing. We argued over a pair of silky blue playboy shorts. I had to hit my sister up, and she confirmed that I used to wear them from a girl that gave us clothes. I'm a medium and he looked at them and saw that they were a large. He found them in my bed because sometimes, when you get hot, you take off your shorts or pants. Even after my sister confirmed, he went the whole night mad at me. Talking about he's never seen me in those before. I have so many clothes that sometimes I forget all that I have. Anyway, instead of apologizing in person, I get a text saying that he's sorry he didn't believe me. Do you know how hard it is, apologizing for something you didn't do? Having to defend yourself when they say, put yourself in my shoes. I don't have to cheat. 😮💨😮💨Eventually, later on down the line, he broke up with me for other reasons. He always said I'd leave first... it's only because he wanted to leave. When someone first signals to you that they want to go, let them go. I'm telling you to take it from me. You think you're holding someone down, and really, you're just holding them back in their eyes. Here you are talking about marriage with a person and they can't even handle the small things....let them go.

I always say to my ex you're cheating because you say you're buying pizza for your family you always buy pizza and really he's out buying pizza once a week. Him and his family just have bad ADHD and quite frankly even though they annoy the crap out of me his mom and dad are so sweet theirs only a few bad apples in the bunch. Mine had told me something was going on with her friend and the new roommate that we were hanging out with I found it odd the patterns changed and I felt something was going on we weren't having sex and lack of emotions like she was going over to her friend's house quite often I confronted her swore to me nothing going on, that he is just a mutual friend when shit hit the fan and I was getting devalued and gaslit she ended up revealing that he was the next supply. I always say to my ex you're cheating because you say you're buying pizza for your family you always buy pizza and really he's out buying pizza once a week. Him and his family just have bad ADHD and quite frankly even though they annoy the crap out of me his mom and dad are so sweet theirs only a few bad apples in the bunch. But as I get to know him I realize that I now understand his ADHD more and I realize where my fear is coming from if narcissists worked on themselves and stopped running off of fear, entitlement, ego, and emotions they would get somewhere. I to have been with narcissistic men and it was awful.

All of that. I think deep down they’re proud of what they’re doing and want to talk about it. Or when they accuse you it’s because they’re ashamed but that’s their way of assigning that shame to you.
I remember him telling stories about a guy at his job that was supposedly sleeping with a bunch of women from the job and now I wonder was he talking about himself. I even remember saying “how do you know he’s actually sleeping with them”…. To which I got no response. That’s when he leaves the room, changes the subject, etc

Mine had told me something was going on with her friend and the new roommate that we were hanging out with I found it odd the patterns changed and I felt something was going on we weren't having sex and lack of emotions like she was going over to her friend's house quite often I confronted her swore to me nothing going on, that he is just a mutual friend when shit hit the fan and I was getting devalued and gaslit she ended up revealing that he was the next supply. I have infidelity trauma from this now I really related to what you said Lee
