Hi Ann. So sorry to hear about your brother. I lost my brother in 2007 due to complications from diabetics. My favorite red heart yarn is the parrot colors. I made a pantaloons for my best friend and she absolutely loved them. Good thing she was only 5'nothing. Lol

I learned with Red Heart and use it for the majority of my projects. I love it! I has become softer through the years, and I have never had a problem when washing. It is great for afghans! I have never used the Stripes version. Having looked over the different selections, I would say the Parrot Stripes is my favorite! Good luck all!

I've only been shopping at Michael's online (I broke my back) because of my rewards and the only color they have IN is Redheart ARAN, they literally NEVER have stripes! You've finally stumped me and I can't give an "ANNswer" LOL! I'm obsessed with the Mexicana and now I'm going to Joann's, Rewards or not!
I have used the Retro Stripe several times for baby blankets. I have made several afghans with the Mexicali Stripes. They all turned out great. After washing and using liquid fabric softener and dried on low heat, they were very soft! Love Red Heart yarns!

I have used the Red Heart Stripes Primary! I made Beanies for my two "adopted" teenage daughters for Christmas And it looks gorgeous worked up!! The bold vibrant colors are so gorgeous 🤩🥰💕 The Retro stripes, Parrot Stripes, Neon Stripes and the Polo Stripes are a must look for! Who am I kidding?!?! I love them all!! Having the black woven in does look fabulous though and I have seen crocheters use it for stained glass! Also, thank you for the tidbit about the hair conditioner! Definitely going to try it!

I love Red Heart. I’m just now adventuring out into more companies. I have used primary usually for my grandsons, I love parrot stripe for my granddaughters. I love the Latte stripe most of all. All of these are so perfect for baby blankets and cocoons!

These colors are awesome! I love ombré and stripes. I seem to work faster as I want to get to the next color. Mexicana is my favorite as it has such bright colors. Happy colors!

I love the shawl and the granny square! I have never used the Red Heart stripe yarn. All of the colors look wonderful, however I really like the primary stripe and flamenco stripe yarns. Thank you for all your giveaways!
Just went on yarnspirations and looked up the Red Heart Super Saver yarns and I quite liked the Macaw. Great giveaway. Shaded dusk is lovely. As you can see I love the blues.
I am loving the retro and parrot. They both say tropical to me. You are going to get such varied answers. I've never actually used this yarn before.

I love Red Heart. I’m just now adventuring out into more companies. I have used primary usually for my grandsons, I love parrot stripe for my granddaughters. I love the Latte stripe most of all. All of these are so perfect for baby blankets and cocoons!

I love all the RedHeart Stripes yarns. I have used it several times to make hats for my great-grandkids. I would say the Polo Stripes is my personal favorite for my own use.
