I did a frame up resto on one exactly like this about 15 years ago. Guys would literally stop in front of my house and ask about it before I even had it up for sale. It was in parts in a crate with a rolling frame when I purchased it for $25.00 . My neighbor said it was surreal it see it sitting in my driveway because it was so mint when I was done. Sadly these classics are getting like hens they to find now !
This is the bike I had brand new at age 12 in the spring of 73 ...couple months short of my 13th birthday. Later that summer my two younger brothers started the shed on fire and that was the end of it.
So true ken, the yam 100 two stroke motor will just keep on running, no rebore no new ring's, if she's got a little oil in the gearbox they just will not give in.🙏❤

One thing I learned about young girls wanting to ride or not is the bike has to be on point, they see flaws in paint, or that rusty bolt, crack, or rip, etc. This would pass any women's silent inspection, and being older would make it cute. Good super light bike to learn how to ride on the street to get your license, and possibly resell to collector for money towards a purple Harley.

I had a brand new purple 1973 LT3 100. Stripped it down, installed Preston Petty fenders and a Basani expansion chamber.

I rode one of those at a "Yamaha 'Learn to Ride'" event circa 1973. I also rode a Yamaha YZ80. It was the best day.

Thats a 73 LT3 unless someone took a 72 LT2 and made it look like a 73? Also turn signals came stock on Yamaha Enduro's starting in 1971. Not 73.
