Everything about him is always “great” or “tremendous” and anyone against him is “failing” or “fake news.” To the trained eye, he’s a used care salesman. But to those who are rabidly and emotionally in support of him, I could totally understand why he has them in the palm of his hand.

  • @vx8431
    @vx8431 Před 7 lety +23

    I grew up in rural Finland and one of the things my grand father always told me was if a person doesn't have a firm handshake they are probably slimey people or scum and in my experience that has been proven to be true if a person cannot grab my hand firmly when shaking it they are either nervous, weak or is trying to hide something.
    The way Trump did his handshake is very common when a person of status wants to establish dominance in certain circles doing what he did was a show of power and will, a very common tactic that people of power do use to show who is in charge. It is no coincidence that Trump is a billionare his body language shows what he is a ruthless buisnessman who will establish control to close the deals on his terms.

    • @georgelionon9050
      @georgelionon9050 Před 7 lety +11

      Same reasons. Some people all went crazy to the idea of "Make Deutschland great", getting more wealthy by taking it away from others (jews in that case) giving them the idea they are more entitled to the ressources of the earth, because they are oh so great. Its putting a whole nation on the narcissistic trip.

    • @armoredp

    • @armoredp
      @armoredp Před 7 lety +48

      +George Lionon That's not really a fair comparison, as the average German at the time was pisspoor, unlike the average American. The german population definitely didn't get "more wealthy" by taking from the jews.

      If he is doing it naturally then he is over compensating due to lack of confidence and feeling overwhelmed. If you have real confidence then you don't need to prove yourself all the time. So it may be natural but it isn't a good thing. It seems more likely that he developed his own handshake over time and just got carried away though.

    • @andresamartins6622
      @andresamartins6622 Před 7 lety +9

      +Lilitha11 You think that someone who did what he did last year has "lack of confidence"? Would you be able to travel the entire country and speak for millions of people? He dedicated himself 100% on a race that everyone was saying that he would lost. I do not think a non-confident person would do that.

    • @Lilitha11
      @Lilitha11 Před 7 lety +12

      He is a performer and is used to being on tv and in front of people. That alone doesn't make someone confident. Sure he can get in front of a crowd and talk, but look at the stuff he talks about. Lying about the size of crowds to make himself look more important, talking about the size of his penis to try to let everyone know he is 'big', getting upset when people question his wealth and stuff like that. Those things show a lack of confidence.
      He is the president of the united states, he is already super important. So why do stuff like lying and saying his inauguration was the biggest in history when it clearly much smaller than many others? What is the point? It seems like he is just trying to boost his ego because he lacks confidence. If he was confident, there would be no reason to lie about the crowd size.

For e.g. You are shaking hands and the other person is squeezing or yanking or whatever, then you say "have you never shook hands before, it seems like you have never shook hands before because you are doing it wrong" , no one expects to be called on their nonsense on the spot so it is literally a mind trip, lol and yes it works I've done it to people. :-)

He makes a lasting impression via photos, but immediately recovers any hard feelings from the person he’s shaking hands with. Than again trump could realize he caught him at an awkward angle, and said “strong hands” as in trumps strong hands. Can’t help he’s got strong hands, or the other guy has strong hands. I think trump selected D) all of the above, to use it for his personal referencing. Who knows

    I saw another video a while ago that recommended not only using both of YOUR hand(s) when shaking someone else's hand, but also to use your pointer finger and middle finger and press on the inside of the other persons wrist like where you'd check for a pulse. What this is supposed to do is interrupt the blood flow of the other person thereby sending a signal to their brain which in turn causes them to remember you and your handshake and to think to themselves in a good way, "Hm, I'm not sure what it was, but there's something different about this person". It gives a great first impression, rather than them just meeting you, getting the same old handshake, and then forgetting about you a few seconds later.

    It was a photoshoot hence the extended handshake. This is the first I've seen of this video but around 2017 I gave my nephew some pointers on the handshake. His was limpy and half handed, a finger shake. I put our hands together firmly and told him, "If the person you are shaking hands with doesn't give you EYE CONTACT you know not to trust him (his step-dad does that after I pay for his & his fam damily seasonal meals out)." His stepdad then gave me eye contact but we weren't shaking hands... My most memorable handshake was from my new neighbors, the U. S. Marshall and his wife. Both were firm, powerful, eye contact, and pleasant small talk.

    Topic idea(please up vote) : hate asking for help yet love to help. I hate the fact that I am unable to do something myself and also don't want to feel indebted to anyone. On the other hand I've spent a lot of time helping people without any ulterior motives. This affects my daily life from asking for help on college studies, tasks, hell even video games I keep losing because I hate relying and staying close to my teammates because "I want to be able to do it alone".
