i still use my powercore for mastering. MD3 is unbeatable and RNDigital D4 too. I havent heard anything like thees plugins yet

Hi Dom, Snow by Acustica Audio is an emulation of Portico Neve
I had this unit it was a BIG sound.
Bought. Exceptional plugin but really cpu intensive.
I remember buying Acustica's Titanium, my first Acqua plugin, which is also the SMC-2B. It has been around since 2015 and I'm still using it all the time.
curious how these 2 compare. Not many videos on the topic.
I have the mastering version of the hardware unit as also the master buss processor ,
yes, these units are giving very professional sound I was unable to reach only with plugins.
I will compare the HW with the software, let's see how close they came.

Thanks for the video, very helpful. I am surprised you didn't appear to change the attack and release knobs and just kept them at 12 o'clock. For mastering most use slow attack and fast release. Then fir a 2 bus a faster attack and med release

It is good but there is not something that blew me away, the Mix sounds good, so any other good Multiband Comp would make it better too
I respectfully disagree. I have the Waves C6, and the one in Cubase and they are very flat sounding compared to the Tube Tech. I also have thr Drawmer 1973 from Tube Tech. That one is great in making a 2 bus mix punchy like a API bus compressor. It however does not have the finesse if a opto compressor.
@@glennbucc7107 try opening the attack a bit if you are finding them flat sounding...
@DomSigalas did you compared it with your HW unit? if yes how you feel the plugin reacts to the parameters changing?
i remember the HW has the ability to raise up sound details into a complex dynamic passages without the need of punching the gain too much.
PS: i think the Portico MBC is sampled into the Acustica Audio SNOW suite
Waves C4 and C6 offer Opto option - not sure if they emulate tubes or not.

Beat Designer need an upgrade. Needs to be more accessible an easier to use 🙈 Now its quite difficult to copy a drum loop to a track without it keep looping through the whole track. FL Studio got that right
Just a while ago there was the Softube buss compressor with the glue, and now there’s this multi-band compressor with the glue. So much glue, I’m ‘stuck’ for choice…😅
