I honestly don't understand this trend of hating stuff that isn't even out yet. Sure I can see why some might end up disliking and hating certain things, but usually one does that after the thing has been released to point out the flaws, not endlessly speculate on what might be in the thing. The only real critique that I can really make is about the marketing and the stuff relating to the show that has we already know, not what is in the show.
Yeah the same thing happened with the fallout show, but everyone ended up loving that. People are insufferable assholes. There's no other explanation. Humans are trash.
Probably because Disney in general and especially Disney Star Wars has done a horrible job at releasing good content and people for obvious reasons wouldnât expect that to change
The show runner is Harvey Weinstein assistant who led all those women to those horrible things
@@adrienmj4179 This is just guilt by association and what I have tried to search from this allegation, there so far seems nothing credible. You need more than "this person worked with this other horrible person, therefore said person was complicit in said actions".
@@SillyBrigade Which I can understand and agree on certain level. However the "critique" that I am mainly referring to is when some bring up things like diversity, poc, LGBTQ+ etc. to point to why something is bad and failed. Also saw these same people declare that the general audiences have had enough of these things based on nothing other than the reactions on the trailer on CZcams. Might as well add that this isn't exclusive to this show.

These kind of moves can make it more obvious to Disney that they canât just produce anything and expect to make a profit which is something they need to realize

With this 100%. I totally understand hesitation and skepticism. I also canât wrap my brain around hating something before seeing it. Under Disney weâve some great Star Wars and some awful Star Wars. This is different writers, director, actors, characters, timeframes - thereâs plenty of opportunity for this to feature good stuff.
From what weâve seen, I feel like itâs almost inevitable that elements of this will be great (at the very least the effects and maybe some fight scenes) and other elements could be meh/lame (Star Wars scripts are rarely strong outside of Andor). But itâs doubtful to be the utter disaster detractors are determined to make it out to be. The players involved have a strong track record of material thatâs at least decent
I'm not hating on it, personally. I'm just aggressively disinterested.

I'm still cautious as ever about the show with my expectations very low. They weren't this low as compared to Ashoka because that show was promoted differently than this one.
Do we think the trailers only show snips from episodes 1 and 2? Disney MO has typically been only to reveal through trailers the first couple episodes, so we still have a lot to look forward to, reveals, surprises, etc.

My moto is base my expectations on the advertising and then judge after I watch it.

Good point. I am sceptical as well, especially after the Reeva show. I will wait till all the episodes are out, gonna watch a final conclusion of the Critical Drinker and Dave Cullen, then decide if it is worth my time. Disney+ fckd us all over way too often in the past few years

Do you not know what the high republic era is? Yellow lightsabers are normal during when it takes place. Its like how most sabers were blue and green during the era the prequels took place in.
This was before the Jedi were as strict with how the force was taught so more variety existed with colors

I stopped watching the Mandalorian after season 2. I even stopped watching Book of Boba Fett after I think the second episode because it didn't feel like Boba Fett...
I didn't even bother to watch the other series...
I only heard negative things about Obi Wan and Ashoka...
Apparently the only good thing that came out recently was "Andor" which I might watch...but Disney has such bad Star Wars takes that I just don't care anymore tbh...
I grew up with the prequels and watched all 6 movies multiple times a year. I loved the Clone Wars Series. I liked star wars so much but Disney made me stop carring more and more about Star Wars because they took one L after the other...
Ahsoka, Solo, Tales Of The Jedi, Visions, Rebels, The Clone Wars Final Season, The Bad Batch, The Mandalorian, Rogue One, Andor, and etc. are all great and are all praised. There's more good than bad. And how about you make your own opinions instead is just following what other people say. And fyi the Prequels are ass.

@@movielover7565If they had gone with the Clone Wars style animation for Rebels, it wouldâve been so much better. Rebels and Ahsoka suck butt because Ahsoka is live action Rebels and Rebels was just super childish. Solo⊠was ok. Rogue One and Andor are both amazing. BoBF sucked and Mando season three was disappointing(doesnât help they fired Gina Carano and screwed up plans for that stuff). I think A LOT of people forget that the Clone Wars was still Lucasfilm pre-Disney, and Disney finally decided to finish those episodes. Bad Batch was good. Not quite as good as Clone Wars, but still good. The only good things from a lot of the bad things have been fan service. Episode five of Ahsoka had Anakin, and thatâs the only good thing besides Balen Skull. Mando season 1 and 2 were good(1 being the best), but three just⊠fell flat compared to the first two. We all know what happened with the BoBF. And I doubt The Acolyte is gonna be any good. The director is just an activist that was given the job. I may watch it if people say itâs worth it, but I wonât otherwise.
Tales of the Jedi was good until the last episode that retconned the Ahsoka book. And Takes of the Empire just wasnât all that good. Compared to TotJ, it was aweful.

This whole notion that just because we haven't seen the show yet we can't say that it is bad or sucks is foolish, Disney has put out terrible shows such as book of boba, mando season 2&3, ahsoka, and that god awful sequal trilogy.
There is a reason why the trailer has i think 700k dislikes and rings of power is already on that path, the fans can predict were the show is going and they are sick of tired of it because they know they will be called racist, bigot's, and woman haters if the critize the show kenobi is a perfect example of disney ignorant.
mando season 2 wasn't terrible you just have trash taste on that part.
