    He used to wrestle, means he knows how to cut weight, not how to diet. During wrestling season, you stay around the same weight and cut for weigh-ins every x days sometimes.
    And you're in practice everyday, you burn shit tons of cals training.
    It's completely different than sustaining a healthy diet without the same activities you used to do. His sleeping schedule also affects his metabolism, so he probably isn't burning as much, same with his activity levels, which also affects it. Given what he does, he doesn't get much active time other than going to the gym.
    It would take a change in life style to sustain a healthy weight.
    When he wakes up and sleeps, how much activity he does a day, what kind of food he eats. It's much harder than ppl think. But he could do it with small changes of his routine.

    Mizkif was an athlete, he probably had a highter calorie intake and just burnt it off training and competing. His eating habits stayed the same and instead of wrestling, he streams all day, removing any form of weight loss.

    I don't think Miz understand how weight works, by lifting everyday you gain a significant amount of muscle and lose a decent amount of fat and muscle weighs more than fat so of course he will weigh more and that is a good thing.

      What the fuck does "muscle weighs more than fat" mean? It's like steel and feathers all over again. And you don't gain a significant amount of muscle, in your first year of lifting you might gain like 12lb or something. Also if he's eating over his maintenance he's not gonna lose fat.

    24:05 at least in my case i started noticing subtle changes in my abdomen a little, then a lot in my chest, a little more on my abdomen, then a lot in my arms and face, followed by a little bit more in the abdomen. its really hard to get rid of the gut

    Less doesnt mean better. Its the right quantities and the right foods. Secondly water retention is a factor with weight throughout the day, hence why you weigh yourself in the morning.

    Keto is good for weight loss. Cut out carbs and sugars almost completely and eat more fats and proteins. You can still eat large portions. It puts your body in a state of ketosis, it uses fats for energy rather then carbs and sugars so it will burn the fat off. My brother was severely overweight but he lost 40kg (90poundsish) in about 2months on keto without exercise.

    a lot of the chat was wrong asf.. you do gain weight when u lift, typically, because muscle weighs more than fat. therefore lifting usually makes u gain weight, atleast a little.

    As a powerlifter I squat, bench and deadlift all in the same day sometimes burning close to 3,000 calories in a session and miz still eats more than I do in a day . You sit down all day, You sleep all day not saying thats a bad thing but you need to have some sort of physical activity in the day everyday. You don't even have to lift just do a basic calorie in vs calorie out and go for a simple 30 min walk and you're good. You can experiment with other diet styles / workout styles but they all follow the basic cal in vs cal out you cant break the law of thermal dynamics but you can work around them.
    Edit: I should mention miz needs to pick up a blood pressure monitor because its actually due to high blood pressure that most Erectile Dysfunctions happen in the first place. And if hes eating an excess of sodium / not doing any cardio im sure he has high blood pressure.

    Calories in vs calories out. Doesn't have to turn to a super strict diet because that won't be sustainable for him. Incorporate more protein, track calories, figure out your caloric maintenance, eat less than your maintenance, and you are on your way to weight loss. If you are a beginner at weight lifting, you will go through body recomposition. You may end up gaining weight at the start but you will in turn start looking more fit. I personally wouldn't look at the scale, take progress pictures and go off of those.

    It does matter what you eat. If you're wanting to lose fat, and maintain muscle. If you just eat salads all day, with no protein, you're going to fuck your body composition. To maintain muscle, you need to eat muscle (protein). TL;DR - Self-Discipline - Once you're ready to commit, you just follow the proper formula. It also never ends... you have to maintain, but you can eat good stuff you like in moderation. Just monitor your weight.
    It's simple as fuck... tdeecalculator.net/ calculate your shit, eat in a deficit, and eat enough protein to not lose muscle. I've helped people put on muscle, and cut fat. I cut from (I'm 6'2") 285 (35% bodyfat) to 195 (20% bodyfat) from 2019 to 2020 now. I did very little cardio btw, and maintained by Bench/Squat/Deadlift/Overhead press #s. My before and after is on my twitch, which is the same name as my youtube (in b4 weird flex/promo). I give the shit away for free, so people don't waste time/money on bro-science garbage. I'm also in my 30s. It's doable. It's calories in vs calories out + eating proper macros. You can't just eat less, without eating enough protein... nobody wants to lose muscle. Maintain muscle, and cut fat.
    Other bro science bullshit
    -It doesn't matter when you eat, as long as you're in a caloric deficit. "Don't eat after x o'clock is BULLSHIT"
    -Muh metabolism is slow - the majority of the population doesn't have a metabolism issue that's significant enough to prevent muscle gain/fat loss. The minority may haev actual Hypo/Hyperthyroidism
    -Most people OVERESTIMATE their activity level/calories burned and UNDERESTIMATE how much they eat (They forget to count liquid calories, little snacks/grazing here and there, and so on)
    -You have to eat super strict/clearn - No you don't... you can eat somewhat tasty if you follow your proper Macros via calculating your TDEE needs
    -There's nothing super special about intermittent fasting or keto. It's still calories in vs calories out.
    -"Healthy" foods can be calorie dense, and fuck up your fat loss (example nuts, peanut butter, dairy, and so on = calorie dense)
    -Keto - Most people lose 3-7 lbs in their first week, it's NOT all fat. Going from a diet which retains a lot of water, to keto = low retaining water foods. You'll loos 4-5 lbs of WATER WEIGHT, and 1-2 lbs of fat. People think "I lost 7 lbs of PURE fat this week" and over due a cheat day and undo all their progress
    -Cardio isn't needed, but it's good for overall health. Running is fucking trash if you're obese/significantly overweight. You'll fuck your joints. Alternative cardio = walking 2-3 miles a day, or on a treadmill on an incline, stair climber, elliptical, cycling, and swimming for example.
    -Lastly women won't accidentally turn into Arnold, because they lift heavy. You know how many men wish "oh no I fucked up and turned into a MULTI-TIME MR OLYMPIAN"... no

    Super old video but weight gain/loss is pretty simply just calorie net gain/loss. If you're in a net surplus you'll gain weight, net deficit you'll lose weight. Working out and cardio will both burn some form of calories.

    Mizkif should be aiming to eat around 1,810 calories per day if he wants to actually lose weight (which is a slow process). He wants to lose it faster, he really needs cardio. I think it's safe to assume he eats double that number though lol

      He’s trying to gain muscle too though, which isn’t gonna go well at a calorie deficit. The easy way to do this is to either commit to gaining muscle, or commit to losing fat first. At his weight, I’d just keep lifting, and worry about the fat once he’s got more progress.
