  • BMW R1250RT looks like a monster from the front and is intimidating by pure looks. However this package is something really exceptional! The low seat, low center of gravity with that iconic shift-cam high torque boxer motor and as we know, high torques equals less gear changing.
    When it comes to overall design, looks, geometry, ease of riding, comfort this bike is next level. With build quality and features and technical innovations this RT is a real treat.
    Let me take you on a ride and show you the functionality of this beautiful BMW creation. From every day use, commuting, to touring to sport riding, this bike has all your bases covered and on top of that will have you grinning from ear to ear.

    Wow, the best review ever ! I am picking up a 2021 RT Opt,719 this week after 12 years with a 2010 RT 1200. I see I have a lot to experience...Goose bumps on the highway. Thanks.

    Now THAT was a proper review! I own a 2022 R1250RT Option 719, and have a renewed appreciation for the capabilities of this bike. I've not pushed the limits (225kph / 140mph) like you have, but the confidence and stability at this speed in turns is astonishing. Awesome scenery and excellent commentary. Just an outstanding review...thank you!

    Recently purchased an R1250RT just like this one in a 2022 model. I sold my 2022 R1250GS to buy the RT. Love it! Much more suitable to my riding style and much easier to ride. Although, I did love the GS.

    I’ve owned three RT’s and before that I rode Goldwing, Harley, Triumph, Honda interceptor, and the RT hands down is the best bike. I am considering a BMW GSA, but after riding my bike yesterday I just love this bike. I have a 2015 with bar riser and a lowering peg kit that makes you sit on the bike with the feel of a BMW GS or GSA….a more upright sit thing position. I’ve taken the bike from Scottsdale AZ to Canada and I feel no pain at 63 years of age, ❤❤

    Simply the best RT review. I'm glad to see that someone really can ride RT properly. Good job man

    Great review. It was awesome to FINALLY see someone ride this sport tourer the way it was meant to be ridden. I am getting ready to order one for next year, and every review I have seen so far; the reviewer toddles along at 2500 rpm. This finally shows the character of the motor when you ride it harder. GREAT JOB!

    I rode a K1300S for the past 8 years and toured all over on it; then, I got my 2022 RT…and absolutely love it! It’s fun in the twistiest roads and yet can eat up hundreds of miles in a day here the the PNW of the U.S. I’ve put about 5400 miles on it since May and am heading off on another trip soon to add another 2200+ miles. Great bike, for what I love to do.

    I rode both the RT and the GS on a demo day.Both were very comfortable,but I gave the nod to the GS for better riding position and comfort.Both wonderful to ride.

    I absolutely love the video, the bike is amazing. I am hoping to buy 1250RT soon but still torn between 1250RT and 1250GS.

    If the RT is white in color, those vehicles will slow down and move over quicker for you. 😉 Some will even pull over and stop to let you drive by. Great review. Thanks.

    Nice riding but you need to check the dry weight you mentioned. My R1250RS is 243 kgs and I suspect the RT is about 30 kgs heavier?

    Hallo hier van die Kaap. I have the '22 1250RS and Im really looking seriously at the RT when 2025 comes around. With the rumors of the 1300cc engine to be around the corner I hope that V2 of that 1300 engine will be put into the RT and then I'll probably make a swap. But very nice review - I used to stay on a plot in the Cradle so I know the roads you used here very well. Great review, thx

    Many drivers think that I am a Cop (on my White RT) therefore they slow down to legal limits in a hurry. 😂😂😂

    Some of the polite moving over could be the thought that the profile might be the same as that of many European police bikes lol.

    Thanks... Nice comments and enthusiasm.
    By the way, I think the traffic was moving over because they likely thought you were a cop. This is what cops ride and everyone recognizes the RT as a cop bike.
    Definitely a plus when you get the red carpet treatment...😂😊

    Hello from Colorado. Great review. Thinking about buying an RT. Does anyone have any experience with the adaptive cruise control in detecting deer, moose of elk that jump in front of you. Will it go in to full on breaking mode?

    Retiring this Summer… looking to get into touring. Is this RT jut too powerful/heavy for a 1st bike. (Thinking of professional training before purchase). Central FL (6’/athletic). Thoughts?

    • @route21garage
      @route21garage  Před rokem +2

      Good question. I would like to say no as with 6‘ your sitting comfortable and deep in the bike, standing flat footed both sides with knees bent. Very comfortable with wide handlebars, motor also not crazy high revving screamer, instead nice torquey from low down. Super easy to ride.
      The only intimidating factors could be size and weight, however that’s ONLY noticeable when parking her.
      Professional training is the right way to go to feel properly comfortable and maximizing your enjoyment and minimizing the fear or intimidation factor 🙏👌💪
      Enjoy and good luck 👍🏻

      @@route21garage … thanks for the vote of confidence, I’ve reached out to the South Carolina BMW school… And there might be others… Any suggestions?
      Appreciate your help!

    • @route21garage
      @route21garage  Před rokem +1

      I would say BMW school is the way to go, cause they might have just this bike to train on or similar (same engine) to get comfortable with and they train you on their tech and safety features of their equipment 👍🏻

      @@leoburns9674 If you do buy one, I suggest engine guards because getting use to that weight when stopped or at slow speed with take a bit of practice.
