  • In this episode of Saisha Rambles. Saisha ponders over the illusion of intimacy when we can consume other people's lives on social media.
She also wonders what does the future of human relationships look like ...?
Para-social relationships boiling down to smaller individuals, falling in love with AI chat bots ? Etc etc.

Online connections are valid when everyone involved is being deeply authentic, at that point it works. When the interactions, connections, groups, or online communities are heavily centered on what's real for everyone involved. But navigating the "well-curated" illusory aspect of social media is tricky.

    One word. Responsibility.
    Relationships are responsibilities.
i would say that the majority of relationships are hard to maintain.
    Relationships are demanding.
They are the focal point of our lives so our entire make up depends on good relationships.
If our relationships are moving smoothly so are we and if one relationship is not, it can cause us extreme discomfort.
We all naturally seek pleasure as life is a thin veil of constant suffering.
it is inevitable that all relationships will divulge into sexual degeneracy in the near future.
    Maximizing pleasure and minimizing pain.
Currently i believe everyone is in the "faking it" stage as there is still some pleasure to be gained from appearing like your relationships are fine and perfect. But this facade will drop soon just like the previous facade of pretending to be moral for public acknowledgement. No one cares anymore, they just want to feel good.
No one wants to suffer purely for the sake of being moral. There was a time where you might even get a pat on the back whilst you suffer for the sake of upholding morals but not anymore. No one but some minority of religious folk actually want to suffer for the sake of morality. So bye bye relationships. Hell-o unprecedented amounts of sexual degeneracy and intoxication.

You don't ever really know anyone through social media alone. You can chat with someone for months and find out it's been some kind of bot.

I'm glad to see more people talk about this. I've been thinking about this for quite sometime. My new EP is all about the theme of intimate relationships completely online. I’ve been inspired by an online community where I’ve watched people marry, have babies, and engage in lots of toxic fighting. It’s fascinating to me and makes me wonder if we’re becoming more open online while shutting ourselves off offline. So far, I’ve uploaded two songs from the EP Velvet Blue and Stars Align. Can't believe the algorithm sent me to you. WOW. Subbed!

When I watch Dawson's Creek I want to work in a video store and then I realize those days are gone and I build up with a fiery moment's hatred for Streaming platforms and societal progress.

i feel like it’s very hard (for me) to make friends nowadays since i don’t go outside that much like i used to so i try to make friends online but the problem is that i don’t post pics with myself so most of them tend to consider this thing a red flag bc how can you not post on social media like are you ashamed of yourself? not everyone needs to post stuff on internet and i don’t find it disturbing. i just wish people who don’t post could connect easier with the ones who do or with the ones who don’t. that’s my pov.

People take decisions purely based on emotion. Taking action based on emotion will lead to self-destruction especially in relationship.
