  • This footage from Kansas City station KCMO-TV shows excerpts from the press conference held at the Harry S. Truman Library in Independence, Missouri on August 20, 1960. The press conference includes former president Harry S. Truman, and Democratic party presidential candidate, Senator John F. Kennedy, new DNC Chair Senator Henry "Scoop" Jackson, and Missouri Senator Stuart Symington. Senator J. William Fulbright, Kenny O'Donnell, and Pierre Salinger are also present.
    The press conference footage is chopped up and not shown in order from beginning to end.
