Shining a light on the FLAG target setting process webinar

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) launched the Forest, Land and Agriculture (FLAG) Target Setting Guidance at the end of 2022. This guidance enables companies to set science-based targets that include land-related emissions and removals for the first time - filling a 22% gap of global emissions that have not been addressed before.
To guide companies throughout the FLAG target setting process, on March 14, 2023 the SBTi held a webinar, where its experts provided a step-by-step explanation of what companies should take into account to determine whether or not are required to submit a FLAG science-based target for approval.
The team also shared the most relevant information to consider in the FLAG target-setting process, key dates to have in mind, implications on existing approved targets, working examples, and addressed frequently asked questions.
